Stingray 2010-07-25T12:12:12Z 2010-07-25T12:12:12Z
If you take a look at How to metaphysically manifest a new car step-by-step I think the ideas and links there will answer your question for you.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6965/can-you-use-focus-blocks-for-any-desire-including-developing-character-traits/6973#6973 Answer by Stingray for Can you use Focus Blocks for any desire, including developing character traits? Stingray 2010-07-25T10:33:01Z 2010-07-25T10:44:17Z
As Michaela says, you can use Focus Blocks for everything - it's just a manifesting method and you can manifest anything you can think of.

I've had hundreds of conscious manifestations - even some (perhaps many) that others might call miraculous but I don't think they are extraordinary otherwise I wouldn't have received them. There's even one especially significant one that I know everyone reading this will know about :)

But I don't particularly play the game of discussing them (even with my girlfriend), or showing off the results to others, for three main reasons.

It doesn't achieve anything. Things that manifest do so within the parameters of this physical reality. Whatever comes, anyone can trace back to some law of this physical reality. So anyone that wanted to dismiss such a manifestation could do so quite easily as saying it was going to happen anyway, it was just coincidence or luck, or cheating of some kind, or whatever. The Law of Attraction will bring you whatever evidence is consistent with your belief system so I would be wasting my time by listing my own personal results. Those who believe will continue to believe and those who won't, still won't. You cannot assert a belief upon someone.

It introduces resistance. I've noticed there's a kind of resistance that gets set up when you do something with the knowledge that you are doing it to prove a point, even if at some time in the future. It's incredibly hard to manifest something as a demonstration to others as a result. This kind of comes back to the point above.

I like my privacy. I've been in the public limelight (I'm not defining what I mean by that) on occasion in my life and I don't like it. The message is important to me, not the messenger. I prefer my privacy and talking too much about things that have manifested for me can lead to my anonymity being compromised.

The manifesting experiments I've listed so far really do work if you try them sincerely and with an open and non-demanding mind.

But if you need proof before you are willing to try them, you'll never try them. :)
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6879/where-is-the-line-drawn-between-law-of-attraction-and-the-non-existent-law-of/6964#6964 Answer by Stingray for Where is the line drawn between "Law of Attraction" and the non-existent "Law of Assertion"? Stingray 2010-07-24T17:05:35Z 2010-07-24T17:17:58Z
There is no Assertion but there is definitely Influence otherwise people like me wouldn't be here explaining to others how to make their lives better. :)

Assertion basically says that "it has to be this way for you whether you want it or not" while Influence says "this is how I would like it to be for you, if you have no objection".

Influence definitely works. The multi-billion dollar global industries of Advertising and Marketing are proof of that.

But you can be sure if any of the people involved in those mega-industries, with their unimaginably large resources, had ever really found a way to assert their messages instead of trying to influence with their messages, someone would have done it by now.

What happens metaphysically when you attempt to influence someone is that you force them to make a choice, even if it isn't a conscious one.

It doesn't matter what the influence is - it can be the influence of healing, the influence of advertising, the influence of trying to get them romantically involved with you (which has also become a multi-billion dollar industry now).

But this idea of forcing them to make a choice is what the outcome of your influence will be...the influence is yours, but the choice is theirs.

Notice that I've implied above that influence works if they have no objection.

Most people drift through their lives without any real sense of self-determination, purpose or direction. So if you offer them a choice that, in that moment, seems to them to be a better one than staying where they are, they would have no reason to resist.

The choices presented don't even have to positive ones. The negative "manipulation" of humanity is often driven by the choice of "if you don't do what we want you to do, something bad will happen"...but it's still a choice...even when it appears you have no other choice - but that's only when you manage to convince the population that they are only limited physical bodies trapped within a five-sense-based physical reality.

But try influencing someone to heal if they don't want to be healed, or try making them go on a date with you if they really don't want to, or try getting them to feel better if they really don't want to...in those cases, the differences between assertion and influence become very obvious.

From an even deeper perspective, we attract out of others (into our own reality) the behavior that is a vibrational match to our expectation of them - and the range of flexibility they have to offer in those behaviors is the range of our apparent influence over them.

So if someone is now behaving differently because of your changed expectation of them, it is because they had the flexibility within their multi-dimensional self to do that, and thereby engage with you in your reality through that different facet of themselves.

When you are out of range of what they have to offer, you simply cannot attract (or vibrationally match up with) any part of them in your reality any more and they effectively just vanish from your universe.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6932/the-loa-in-general-vs-specific-where-does-the-loa-max-out/6938#6938 Answer by Stingray for The LOA in general vs. specific - Where does the LOA max out? Stingray 2010-07-22T00:22:35Z 2010-07-22T00:22:35Z
No, there are no limits as to what can be manifested.

The basic rule is that if you can imagine it, it must be possible to manifest it.

See here for more information why this must be true: What are the practical limitations of what the Universe can manifest?

But your problem is going to be that if you perceive something as impossible, the Law of Attraction is not going to match you up with evidence that it is possible. It will instead only bring you information that is aligned with your current beliefs.

It's a tricky situation especially when you are looking for examples of the impossible :)
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6928/what-to-do-when-people-make-you-feel-bad-unexpectedly/6931#6931 Answer by Stingray for What to do when people make you feel bad unexpectedly? Stingray 2010-07-21T20:25:01Z 2010-07-21T20:25:01Z
Before answering your question, I would have to point out that there must be something activated in the vibration of you and your friends that is a vibrational match to this behavior otherwise it couldn't manifest.

In other words, if you and your friends were not a vibrational match in any way to this person (or persons) behavior then either that person (or persons) would somehow miss your day of fun or else you would attract different and more pleasant behavior out of them.

So unexpectedly is probably a word that could be argued with from a Law of Attraction point of view :)

Now to answer your question...it doesn't matter what you feel better about as long as you feel better.

So you can think about other things, or play with a young child/baby in the house, or talk to some of your friends separately who are not behaving in this manner.

And, if you can genuinely start to feel better about the situation in that moment, one of two things will happen:

The aggressive person (or persons) will probably start to get more and more annoyed for no obvious reason. This is actually clattering in action. And if you can manage to hold to your good feeling despite their increased attempts at dragging you back down, something will happen during the day that will cause you and them to go your separate ways.

The other possibility is that you will uplift that person (or persons) and, despite their initial negativity, they will start to feel good too.

Either way, you'll still have your day of fun - whether with them or without them - so making the effort to feel better despite the situation is well worth it.

I'm not saying it is an easy matter to hold firm to a good feeling when someone else is downlifting you but it can be done.

However, as I implied at the start, as you naturally feel better and better about things that were previously bothering you in your life, you won't encounter such people and so the situation won't arise anyway :)

To quote Ithaca...

Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon - don't be afraid of them:
you'll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
wild Poseidon - you won't encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.

http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6896/are-people-really-ready-to-accept-the-difference-between-a-channeler-who-perceive Are people really ready to accept the difference between a channeler who perceives 'lack' and their channeled information that promotes 'abundance'? Stingray 2010-07-18T14:31:55Z 2010-07-20T19:52:57Z
I had a look at the Bashar website today and came across this 'message from Darryl'

And, I have to say, it makes me feel uneasy listening to it.

In case the message is taken down in future, I'll briefly summarize it...

Darryl Anka, who channels Bashar, is basically asking for those who have posted Bashar material for free on YouTube, Facebook and other online sites to stop doing so because otherwise people may not buy material from the Bashar website. Failure to do this may mean that Mr Anka (and Bashar Communications) may not have the funds to continue the expansion, promotion and preservation of the Bashar material through various projects so he wishes the copyright laws to be adhered to.

I can understand the human-based (and legal-based) perspective of Mr Anka in posting that message but it does make me feel uncomfortable to listen to it.

While I personally can accept the difference between a channeler's own application of the material they channel and the material itself, it seems to me to be a little self-defeating as far as the promotion of the message of abundance is concerned.

It seems to me that someone visiting the site might get the idea that if the guy channeling Bashar can't apply the knowledge to manifest abundance, then how it is going to work for anyone else?

Contrast that message with that of Esther Hicks who channels Abraham. Both Esther and her husband Jerry are multi-millionaires - and still growing rapidly in wealth. And Jerry (according to Abraham) has often tried to promote the knowledge for free but has found that when people are not ready to hear the message, there's nothing you can do to make them hear it, and also many people will not give as much credence to free material as for material they have paid for.

Abraham have even implied on occasion that Jerry & Esther Hicks themselves, despite their apparent wealth, don't even apply the material that well - somewhere over 50 percent I think they've once hinted at.

I've never heard Jerry & Esther Hicks - or even Abraham - ever make an issue over people posting their information for free. The most I have ever heard from Abraham on the subject is that Jerry & Esther only ever ask that people provide a link to where the material originated from (i.e. Abraham) so that those who are interested can gain access to the source material.

Having been an Abraham fanatic since the mid-90s, but having only started studying Bashar seriously within the past year or so, I guess I'm feeling the difference in attitudes to abundance-thinking more starkly than most.

But I am still left with the thought that Mr Anka's message is not helpful to his cause.

Hence my question...

Are people really ready to accept the difference between a channeler who perceives 'lack' and their channeled information that promotes 'abundance'?

EDIT

I think I should probably clarify my question a bit since it appears that I'm questioning whether Darryl Anka should be charging for his material but actually that's not what I'm asking :)

I'm fully in favor of Mr Anka charging whatever he likes. He's providing a valuable service. If someone wishes to channel Bashar, they can freely do so themselves, as I believe one particular lady in Japan is already doing.

Mr Anka is completely entitled to compensation of his choosing (financial or otherwise) for his skill and effort in bringing the message forth.

What my question is actually about, and I've phrased it clumsily I think, is this...and I'll explain in the form of an example...

Let's say my next door neighbours are very noisy and it is annoying me.

Now if I had no understanding of the Law of Attraction, I might push back against them by calling the police, or banging on their door and arguing with them.

The problem with doing that is that I've now given more focus and energy to something I don't want so that, even if my neighbours comply with my request, I'm now set up (because of the operation of the Law of Attraction) to rendezvous in future with more people and situations who aggravate the emotion that the noise-nuisance had already stirred up within me.

Whenever I push against something, I will attract more of what I don't want even if I believe I am right in pushing against it. See Why Do You Need To Be Right?

In this case, most people (including myself) would probably agree Mr Anka is right in drawing attention to this however what I'm feeling uneasy about is that, with his knowledge of the operations of the Law of Attraction, he must realize that this pushing against is only going to attract more of what he doesn't want.

That's what I mean by self-defeating.

Of course, this form of action could conceivably be the direction of the path of joy / excitement for him (especially if he is currently in depression / insecurity / despair etc on the emotional scale regarding this) - and maybe that is how he is feeling about it - though it doesn't seem like that on the surface.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/5921/resources-for-learning-the-focus-wheel-process Resources for learning The Focus Wheel Process Stingray 2010-05-10T17:20:33Z 2010-07-19T21:22:21Z
This posting is marked as Community Wiki since it is not a real question, but is just information. The method doesn't replace Focus Wheels, it enhances the way you can use them.

But, in order to use Focus Blocks effectively, it is essential that you first learn to become comfortable and effective with creating and using Focus Wheels.

Abraham introduced the idea of Focus Wheels back in the mid-90s, if I remember correctly, and spoke about them consistently to the end of the 1990s. They then moved on to discussing other vibrational processes.

However, it is interesting to me that over the past several months Abraham have re-introduced discussion of Focus Wheels back into their seminars - the first time they have ever re-introduced a process like this as far as I am aware. Stingray 2010-07-19T17:38:13Z 2010-07-19T17:38:13Z
If something you want isn't manifesting even if you move your feeling about what you want into a better place then this is an indication that there is a limiting belief in the way of it coming - and you haven't identified what that limiting belief (or beliefs) is yet.

In other words, you are dealing with a symptom and not a cause.

For example, a symptom may be lack of money but the cause may be a belief that you are unworthy, or don't deserve to have money.

Often with Focus Blocks, working on the symptom can also influence and neutralize the cause but I have noticed occasions myself when the cause and symptom are separate enough that working on the symptom alone changes little.

This is an area I am trying to improve upon within the Focus Blocks Method. I'm still trying out different ideas and approaches, so I don't have a specific tried-and-tested method yet for this - my ideas are still quite experimental.

However, given your situation, let's try one such experimental approach to try to uncover the cause of your issue here.

Once you've identified the cause (or even causes), you then have something concrete to work with and you can mold those identified limiting beliefs into better-feeling places. You should then notice some significant changes provided you can keep that feeling of need and urgency at bay.

Try jotting down some answers to the following questions (courtesy of Bashar). Don't try to censor or hide what you really feel, just try to be as honest as you can with yourself and see what comes up.

Question 1

What would I have to believe is true about myself and my relationship to this situation in order to be experiencing the emotions that I am?

You may have to ponder this question for a while and keep coming back to it until you have an answer that you think is genuinely true for you. That answer will be the limiting belief (or beliefs) that are in the way

Question 2

Try this if you really get nowhere with Question 1...

Part 1: What's the alternative to the current situation I am in? What would I rather choose to happen than what is happening?

Part 2: Now if I actually did choose what I say I would prefer to choose, what's the worst possible thing I'm afraid might happen?

The answer to part 2 should reveal the limiting belief that is standing in the way of what you want.

See if those two questions uncover any insights for you regarding your present circumstances that you can then shift into better-feeling places.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/5901/manifesting-experiment-2-the-focus-blocks-method-manifest-what-you-want-by Manifesting Experiment 2 : The 'Focus Blocks' Method - Manifest what you want by deliberately feeling better about it... If you don't know what that first experiment is, then go and read through it just so you get some idea where this new method fits in and also so that you understand some of the phrases being used below.

When I started writing this method, I put a full explanation of why each step works in these instructions, but the amount of text started growing rapidly.

And it seemed to me that it would be off-putting and confusing to newcomers to be presented with a large amount of manifesting theory when all they really wanted was a way of physically manifesting their desires.

So, instead, I've decided to strip out as much explanation as possible and just give you the method as briefly as possible.

Once you try the approach and experience the power of it, just ask any questions you have about the method as separate (normal) Inward Quest questions, tagged as Manifesting-Experiment-2 and I'll answer them as normal answers. Doing this will also provide the opportunity for other people to answer as well based on their own personal experiences as they gain more manifesting experience.

If you want to see a list of questions that people have already asked about this method, just click on the tag in the gray box in the top right-hand corner of this page marked manifesting-experiment-2. (The gray box is titled tagged)

I will use any feedback from those questions and answers to improve (or rewrite) these instructions as the experiment continues. Because I've been doing this for a while, things that might seem obvious to me might not be so obvious to you. So please ask questions if anything is not clear.

If you want to see the amendments I have made to this written method in response to feedback, just go to the bottom of this posting where it says edited (next to where it says community wiki). Next to that word will be the last time this posting was edited. If you click on that time, you will see all the revisions that have been made.

WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER METHOD?

Manifesting Experiment 1 works well when you are not too attached to the things you want, or you can forget about them for a while.

But often that is not the case.

Sometimes you just can't let go enough of what you want to allow it to come to you.

In those cases, you are really left with no choice but to deal with your feelings about what you want directly. Once you feel better about what you want, you will not be standing in the way of it coming even if you do think about it.

The other major reason that a process like this is needed is much less obvious...

The vast majority of your personal vibrational offering (which the Law of Attraction responds to) comes from the little things in your life

Huh? Did I say little things?

Yes, I surely did. :)

It is actually mostly those little things that keep you unhappy and miserable and leave you wondering why your life is not the way you would like it.

They are things like the annoyance of getting stuck in traffic, or perhaps your partner keeps leaving the top off the toothpaste tube, or perhaps you are annoyed that your boss never says thank you when you do something for them and so on...you probably have hundreds of those little things in your life right now that are pulling you down on a daily basis without you even realizing it.

Each one of these things taken by itself doesn't really affect you that much so you may not pay much attention to them.

But taken together, they are creating an enormous drag on your health, wealth and happiness.

It's not that they are somehow combining together into something bigger and badder, it's just that all those little things keep holding you consistently in bad-feeling places on a regular basis which, in turn, stop other things you want from coming.

Sometimes those little things have so much collective power that you may not even see any more what is bothering you...you just have a general gnawing sense of anxiety about your life and you have no idea at all what to do about it.

This process will deal with all of those little things (and the big things too) and it will clean up many of them at the same time!

STEPS IN THE PROCESS

This diagram shows the five steps in this overall approach. Notice that we are only actually using The Focus Blocks Method in Step 3.

The reason for the other steps is to make sure you integrate this method into your daily life.

The things that are troubling you in your life did not come out of nowhere overnight. They actually came about a little bit everyday with more and more signs of manifestational force until, one day, you ended up with a clear (and perhaps painful) manifestation of something that you really didn't want.

Wouldn't it have been better if you had cleaned up those little signs of discomfort early on before any significant bad-feeling manifestations ever got started?

Well that is what this method is going to do for you...for the rest of your life :)

Now let's look in more detail at each step.

STEP 1

This step should be fairly obvious. Just carry something around with you from now on in which you can note down anything that is bothering you, even if it doesn't seem that bad right now. Remember that we are cleaning up all these things before they even really get started.

So whenever anything happens in your life that bothers you a bit, write it down to deal with later in a Focus Blocks session.

STEP 2

When you have some time, create some ready-to-use Focus Blocks for the things that are bothering you from Step 1. (You can also do this step together with the next one if you want)

Here is what a completely empty Focus Block looks like...

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

And here is what a Focus Block that is targeted to a particular Focus Block Topic, and is now ready for use, looks like...

You can create your own layout for Focus Blocks (either on paper or on a computer) or you can download a pdf version here of the one above.

Notice, firstly, (from the top diagram) that you can have many Focus Blocks on one page. If you are implementing this idea electronically, you can actually have all your Focus Blocks for a single topic one after the other on just one page or in one document.

If you are using paper, you can use as many sheets as you like but try and keep them grouped together because you will discover later that Focus Blocks are linked to each other. For a paper-based approach then, it might be a good idea to use a loose-leaf file or folder into which you can insert more pages as necessary.

Secondly, notice that the only difference between the first diagram and the second diagram are the two lines that have been completed in the second diagram.

You can see the top line is filled in against the question What is bothering me?, while the second line is filled in against the question So how do I want to feel instead?.

A Focus Block that has these two lines completed is now considered ready for use for the Focus Blocks Method in Step 3.

So how do you complete the two lines?

The first line for What is bothering me? is easy enough to complete. It's just an expanded version of what you wrote in your notebook in Step 1.

You may have written in your notebook originally "don't seem to have enough time to do stuff".

You now just expand this out and write something like I don't have enough time to do everything I want.

The second line So how I do want to feel instead? is really just the opposite of the the first line.

This should be easy enough to figure out. When you clearly know what you don't want, it should then be equally clear what you do want instead.

But there is something to watch for here...all we are doing with this process is changing the way you feel. We are not actually manifesting anything.

Yes, it is true that once you change your feeling about something, it will manifest differently, but the only thing we are focusing on right now is changing that feeling.

So, in the example above, the opposite of I don't have enough time to do everything I want is something like I want to feel like I have the time to do the things that are important to me.

There is no right or wrong with how you write your description of what you want. Just write it in your own words using language you are comfortable with, and make it as brief as possible...just a sentence is ideal. You are going to use this sentence to guide yourself while you use the Focus Block Method in the next step.

STEP 3

Focus Blocks vs Focus Wheels

Before you can use The Focus Blocks Method, you need to understand the concept that Focus Blocks are based upon...Focus Wheels.

The Focus Wheel process is a method devised by Abraham to deliberately shift your feeling about any subject into a better place.

If you have no idea what a Focus Wheel is, go and look through these resources for learning how to create Focus Wheels.

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

The yellow circle at the top is a Focus Wheel and the block of sentences below it is a Focus Block.

Regarding the diagram...note that the Focus Wheel shown is on a different subject to the Focus Block shown so that's why the sentences within them don't match up. Apart from that, they are the same thing, just in a different layout.

Having this different layout allows us to use them in more practical ways, as you will see shortly.

However, because the Focus Block is still also a Focus Wheel, then all the knowledge you have learned to create Focus Wheels in the past (if you have followed Abraham previously) still applies.

The Focus Block Method

You now have enough knowledge to understand the Focus Block Method.

I am assuming you now have a stack of ready-to-go Focus Block Topics in front of you either in paper or electronic form.

You will also need some way of randomly-choosing the next Focus Block Topic to deal with.

You can probably achieve this effect by rolling a single die. If the number comes up 1, then choose the next topic in your stack to work on, if it comes up 2 choose the topic that is two down, and so on.

It doesn't matter how you randomly choose your next topic as long as your chosen method will eventually get you to look at all the topics.

If you just rely on yourself to do the choosing, you will eventually find that there are some topics you will keep avoiding...the random number approach makes sure you deal with even those uncomfortable topics.

So, now, here is the Focus Blocks Method...

Make a commitment to yourself that whatever the next topic that is randomly chosen, you are going to write at least ONE statement of belief onto the Focus Block. If you can't make this commitment beforehand, don't play the game right now. You want to build up an unbreakable habit within yourself that if you choose a topic, you are always going to write at least one statement.

Go to the Focus Block Topic chosen and write at least ONE statement of belief that gives you relief from the starting statement of the Focus Block. To come up with these statements of belief, just use the same process as you would for coming up with the next statements for a Focus Wheel.

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

You can carry on playing with that Focus Block (writing those statements) for as long as you feel you want to. Some topics you'll be happy to play with, others you may find that you want to get away from as quickly as possible! Don't worry about these uncomfortable topics. The method will keep bringing you back to push them a little further time and again until eventually you make a break-through and suddenly find yourself feeling so much better about them

Once you've had enough of playing with the topic, you can now randomly choose another Focus Block Topic or you can stop playing this Focus Blocks game. This means that even if you have only a single minute to spare in your day, you can still be shifting your feelings about things into better-feeling places. Your current feelings about this subject probably came about in tiny, incremental steps with you hardly noticing the change...we are now using that same tiny-step-by-step idea to put these changes back under our own conscious control

Whenever you reach the 12th statement on any Focus Block Topic, you'll notice that the next line says Best-Feeling Thought From This Block. At this point, you need to make a decision about whether this Focus Block Topic needs any more vibrational work or not. You do this by reading over all the previous 12 statements in the current Focus Block. Choose the one that feels the best to you right now and write it in that box. You can consider that statement to be the most powerful declaration of belief within that block.

Here is what a completed Focus Block looks like...

Click here to see this diagram at full-size

If the Best-Feeling Thought leaves you feeling good then you can, if you want, just file the block away somewhere safe and not use it any further in the Focus Blocks Method...you've done enough now to clean up that vibration (though you can still take it further if you want, see Step 4 below which looks at the Emotional Guidance Scale).

If you want to continue with the method for this Focus Block Topic, just consider your Best-Feeling Thought to be the starting point for the next Focus Block on this subject.

Each Focus Block is a little reusable vibrational tool that, if you ever fall back to feeling as though the starting statement is true again, then by reading the statements in this block, you will always be able to quickly lift your vibration back up to the Best-Feeling Thought again.

STEP 4

If the Best-Feeling Thought you have just written leaves you feeling good, what you want is on its way to manifesting. The better you feel, the quicker it will come. You don't need to do any more work on the Focus Block Topic than this.

You can just go ahead and clean up other feelings on other topics instead.

However, if you want your manifestation to come even faster, you can push your feeling about any particular subject even higher.

Look at the diagram below.

On the Emotional Guidance Scale diagram above, if you can move your feeling regarding what you want into the Green Zone (Feeling Good area), you are no longer standing in the way of what you want even if you think about it alot.

If you can move your vibration up to Hopefulness, you will now start to see vibrational matches regarding what you want.

Once you move your vibration up to Positive Expectation/Belief and above, it is on the verge of physically manifesting if it hasn't already.

The way you judge where you are on the Emotional Guidance Scale is to look at the best-feeling thought on the last Focus Block you did and think about what emotion it stirs up within you. Then try and see which emotion is closest to it on the Emotional Guidance Scale.

If you are still not sure, write out a few sentences about what you want without thinking too long. Then look over the sentences and consider what overall emotion they are conveying to you. I call it taking an emotional temperature reading :)

Another method is to just talk to a friend for a few minutes about what you want. It should be very clear where your emotional setpoint (feeling about the subject) is.

STEP 5

You will never run out of new desires. The Universe is geared up to keep generating them within you.

Unfulfilled desire is good for you...it makes life energy flow through you. It makes you feel energized and alive and passionate. Desire is what life is all about so you might as well get used to the fact that you will always have more and more Focus Blocks to play with. :)

And you now have at your disposal one of the most powerful methods for manifesting that exists...even if you don't realize it yet.

If you want to share any success stories you have had with this method, you can do so by posting an answer below.

There are some more advanced techniques that you can use with Focus Blocks and I will publish these in the near future once you've had a chance to play with this method.

Happy manifesting!

UPDATE

One of the advanced techniques I mentioned above is to intersperse Positive Aspects lists in between your Focus Blocks. This extension to the Focus Blocks Method is described here.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6898/is-it-okay-to-be-scared-of-thinking-about-my-dark-past/6901#6901 Answer by Stingray for Is it okay to be scared of thinking about my dark past? Stingray 2010-07-18T20:27:55Z 2010-07-18T20:33:07Z
You seem to be asking if it is healthy to be scared of thinking those dark thoughts in case it all happens again.

Let's clarify something that might put your mind at ease a bit.

Most people who find validity in the Law of Attraction would agree that: "Your reality is a reflection of the thoughts you think"

But the word that most people miss out from that previous sentence, and which I have also missed out (on purpose), is the word...dominant.

Better stated then, we have...

Your reality is a reflection of the dominant thoughts you think.

Can you see a difference between the dominant thoughts you think today and the dominant thoughts you were thinking in those dark times?

I bet you can, otherwise you wouldn't be here asking questions like this...you would still be living through your dark past and be unable to have the perspective on it that you now have gained.

So can you see then you really have nothing to fear about thinking those thoughts about your past because now you can clearly feel they are not thoughts you want to think any more?

That fear you now have of thinking those old thoughts is your friend. That fear you now have is helping you realize that the thoughts that were dominant in your dark past are not dominant now otherwise you wouldn't feel scared of them...those thoughts would just seem normal to you, not fearful.

So, relax, smile, lighten up and, if your thoughts occasionally drift back to your past, that's fine. Acknowledge them, thank that negative emotion for the information it is bringing you and then go back to your brighter life of today.

I can promise you that there will come a time when those thoughts of the past will seem like someone else's life, and you'll find it hard to even believe that person was you. I can speak from considerable experience myself about this :)

When that time comes (and it will), you'll feel no emotional reaction at all to your dark past any more. It will just seem like a vague distant dream you once had.

If you wish to consciously bring that neutral time closer (and it's fine if you just want to leave it alone), you can mold some of those darker thoughts into better places using processes like Focus Blocks...but it's really up to you.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6863/quantum-physics-and-the-loa-some-questions/6869#6869 Answer by Stingray for Quantum physics and the LOA. Some questions. Stingray 2010-07-15T21:42:45Z 2010-07-15T21:42:45Z
Quantum Mechanics was my specialist subject at university but I don't remember writing a posting here linking it to the Law of Attraction.

Sometimes people refer to Quantum in conjunction with spiritual ideas as a marketing gimmick, such as Quantum Jumping. However, I notice you were referring to Singray, my musical vocally-based alter-ego, so perhaps it is not a surprise I don't remember writing such a posting :)

Recently I was watching Bashar's Lab and, in my view, just getting a copy of those videos will put you well beyond most quantum theorists of today. It's one of the clearest starting-from-the-basics explanations of universal principles that I've yet come across.

And, yes, it will also enable you to impress your friends at dinner parties...assuming you ever get invited back after discussing these subjects. :)

A few of Bashar's quantum theory style conclusions are that:

There is only one particle in the whole universe but it moves infinitely fast thereby giving the impression of the universe consisting of many particles.

There is only one moment in the whole universe. Past, present and future are all happening simultaneously now.

What you perceive as the passage of time is actually you shifting your perspective (your consciousness) into parallel universes

The sum of time and space is fixed. The more you move in space, the less you move in time. The less you move in space, the more you move in time. (This is getting into the area of Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity)

There is an energy within space-time that can be harnessed for practical usage

...and plenty more.

Like I said, just don't expect to be invited back to any dinner parties (especially those at the homes of your quantum physicist friends) if you mention these things :)
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6849/do-your-feelings-change-from-day-to-day-if-youve-started-meditation/6868#6868 Answer by Stingray for Do your feelings change from day to day if you've started meditation? Stingray 2010-07-15T19:44:59Z 2010-07-15T20:14:54Z
What meditation ultimately does is to re-sensitize you to your emotions.

You'll find that as you meditate regularly, it will actually become more and more painful to hold onto beliefs and ideas that you were previously comfortable with - it's a by-product of having a fixed emotional range as humans do. And this pain can manifest in mood swings, irritability, even outbursts of anger.

This is a good thing!

Those previous (now painful) beliefs and ideas were not serving you but without viewing them from the perspective of your inner self (which is what meditation is doing for you), it is all too easy to get used to those uncomfortable feelings and make them habitual.

It then becomes puzzling how uncomfortable manifestations result when there is apparently nothing uncomfortable in your life...the truth being that, in fact, there is, but you are just not noticing it anymore.

Ever tried to sleep or work when it was noisy outside? Perhaps some builders were drilling or hammering. After a while, you find that you can actually ignore the noise and eventually not even notice it at all. And it's not until it stops that you feel the relief of the silence. The noise was actually taking a toll on you (perhaps making you irritable) but it was not until it stopped that you noticed how much better you now feel...as indicated by the feeling of relief.

Meditation does a similar thing. While you are in the meditative state, you experience the feeling of relief of letting go of thoughts, beliefs and ideas that were previously generating noise in your life.

So regular meditation is an excellent idea because it gives you a benchmark to judge how much you are in alignment with yourself.

But meditation by itself does not clear up those, now obviously painful, beliefs and ideas...it just highlights you have them.

But the awareness that you have them now gives you the opportunity to clear them up using processes like, for example, The Focus Blocks Method. Once you do that, your angry/upset moods will vanish.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/5887/repetitive-thoughts-vs-forgetting-about-it-what-works-best/5889#5889 Answer by Stingray for 'Repetitive thoughts' vs. 'Forgetting about it': what works best? Stingray 2010-05-07T22:00:56Z 2010-07-11T18:18:30Z
Both approaches are actually valid.

But I realize that, on the surface, they both appear to contradict each other - one approach says you'll get what you want by thinking about it, the other says you'll get what you want by not thinking about it.

The reason that the two methods appear contradictory is because of the following incorrect assumption that people make about manifesting...

Most people believe that focusing on what they want is creating what they want...

...but this is not true!

What you want was actually created in the split-second that you decided you wanted it. It happened in that sudden brief surge of enthusiasm or inspiration, or in that moment of clear vision that came to you.

This is a really important point to understand...what you want already exists in the universe simply because you decided you wanted it, and now your only work is to align with it to draw it into your physical reality.

Once you understand that manifesting is simply about alignment with what has already been created, you'll see the various manifesting methods in a new light. You'll see that they are all really just little games you play with yourself to gradually bring yourself closer to that alignment.

Some of these games involve focusing on what you want and some involve not focusing on what you want. Either way is okay because they are only games. You just choose whichever you feel inspired to play with, or whichever you find most effective for you.

I've previously written this answer that explains the concept in more detail...and it also answers your question about where affirmations and visualization fit into the process.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6791/are-you-aware-of-the-other-sides-thoughts-on-loa/6792#6792 Answer by Stingray for Are you aware of the other sides thoughts on LOA? Thanks, but I don't think we need saving.

You know something?

Most of us who are here regularly - if not all of us - have arrived at our views through a number of years of searching intensively for answers. We're generally strong independently-minded people who, despite the significant peer pressure of the materialists around us, have realized that there is more to life than objective reality.

And those searches have probably been far more intense than the casual dismissiveness with which most so-called skeptics treat these subjects.

We've realized that there are truths that are not being generally told...for whatever reason.

To have come this far and awakened to so much hidden knowledge around us is no mean feat in this hugely outwardly-focused reality we currently live in.

Thanks, but we don't need your concern about us being fooled. :)

Again, I'll ask you why you are here on this website if what you read causes such strong reactions in you?

I don't know you physically (obviously) but you certainly give me the strong impression of someone who consciously wants to be a skeptic, yet is battling against something within yourself that is making you feel uncomfortable in that skepticism.

I wonder why?
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6787/what-do-you-know-of-the-alien-civilizations-of-epsilon-eridani-and-epsilon-indi What do you know of the alien civilizations of Epsilon Eridani and Epsilon Indi? Stingray 2010-07-10T10:47:18Z 2010-07-10T13:22:14Z
This is a genuine specific information request, rather than a debate-type question...

Does anyone know of any information (channelled, or otherwise) about the alien civilizations of Epsilon Eridani and Epsilon Indi?

I was watching Bashar's Lab the other day. It's a tour-de-force of universal principles, and one that I can highly recommend, and at the end of it, Bashar went through a list of nearby star systems where he (or it) said that intelligent alien life existed at this time.

Two of the star systems mentioned were:

Epsilon Eridani - 10.5 light years away, one indigenous civilization, according to Bashar. That's all he said.

Epsilon Indi - 12 light years away, two indigenous civilizations, according to Bashar. Again, that's all he said.

The reason that I ask is that about 15 years ago, a psychic medium passed on some information to me through a friend. The information was that she could see clearly that I had originated from there. She had never met me though - I worked in the mainstream media at that time and she had a copy of my picture from an article I had written.

Because of an inconvenient location (and considerable skepticism on my part), I never discussed this information with the medium directly but my friend, who was in direct contact, confirmed it a few times with her, and told me she was absolutely adamant that the information was reliable. (I've since lost contact with both of them)

Since I had not heard of any place called Epsilon until that time, and neither had anyone else I knew, I just ignored the information. But it did strike me as a bit odd that someone would be so adamant about a place and society that no-one else had heard of.

Recently, I seem to have been attracting a lot of information about alien civilizations and I was surprised when I came across these references to Epsilon for the first time in 15 years.

So I thought I would follow up the information and see where it leads, if anywhere.

So does anyone know of any information (channelled, or otherwise) about the alien civilizations of Epsilon Eridani and Epsilon Indi?

Before anyone points it out, I am fully aware that Epsilon is the Bayer designation for the fifth-brightest star in any constellation so Epsilon could also refer to any other system with five or more stars...but I get the impression that the reference was to something close-by in galactic terms.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6754/connecting-with-spirits-ouija-board-vs-channeling/6756#6756 Answer by Stingray for Connecting with spirits. Ouija Board vs. Channeling Stingray 2010-07-08T15:37:38Z 2010-07-08T15:37:38Z
Regarding Ouija Board vs Channelling, Abraham have said in the past that the Ouija Board is viewed as a frivolous activity and therefore attracts consciousnesses in harmony with that.

It's about the intent you approach it with. I would say that if you were to approach the use of the Ouija Board with a much more serious intent (rather than a party game), it would attract a different matching consciousness. But I think the intrinsic game-based feel of using the Ouija Board probably makes that difficult.

Let me address this fear of demons thing here because it has surfaced a few times on this website and the spreading of this fear has been one of the most surprising aspects for me of taking part here.

As I've mentioned before, I think the folks who propose these ideas do so with the best of intents (in seeking to prevent harm to others) and I mean no disrespect to any of them but I think they are overlooking an important point in what they propose.

An example may make my point clear...

Let us assume we have a manipulative, evil demon (whatever that means to you), and this evil demon is out to influence you to, say, throw yourself off a cliff and kill yourself for whatever evil kicks the demon gets from doing that. Seems like a pretty evil thing to make someone do, don't you think? :)

And let us assume that this demon is so clever and smooth-talking at pretending to be good that it has gained your trust and you follow closely what it says.

Let us say that the steps involved in throwing yourself off a cliff (to your death) are as follows...

Leave your house

Get into your car and drive to the beach

Climb up to the cliffs next to the beach

Go right to the cliff edge

Throw yourself off the cliff (to your death)

Now let me assume that I am the one that the demon is trying to trick...

Leave your house. Here the demon is telling me to leave the house...so I do. I trust the demon so I have no reason not to do this [Demon is laughing at me silently in the background]

Get into your car and drive to the beach. Again I comply. It might be a sunny day and this demon-inspired idea might actually seem like a good idea to me [Demon is delighted at how easy I am to manipulate]

Climb up to the cliffs next to the beach. The demon gives me some made-up reason like it's a good view from up there. So again I comply. I've no reason to doubt my demon. [Demon is thinking that this is just too easy]

Go right to the cliff edge. So now the evil demon is telling me to go right to the cliff edge. Now hold on a second, I think to myself. Why would I want to do that? I don't like being so close to cliff edges. It sounds dangerous to me. I'm feeling a bit uneasy and nervous about this. But, for the sake of argument, let's say that I comply and I still go right to the cliff edge [Demon is getting a little nervous about my hesitation]

Throw yourself off the cliff (to your death). So I'm already feeling nervous and now the demon wants me to jump off the cliff. Yeah, right. You must be joking. Not a chance. I'm going home. Bye, bye Demon [Demon dejectedly trudges back to Evil School for more training]

See my point?

At some step along the way to you being manipulated to something that doesn't serve you, you are going to have a negative emotional response.

In other words, there will always come a time when following the demon's advice is not going to feel good.

And, if you make it your number one priority in life to always seek out things that make you feel good (as I've been saying on this website for many months), you are never going to comply.

It doesn't matter how subtle are the steps in persuading you to do something that doesn't serve you, there will come a time when feeling good will turn to feeling bad and that's when you will naturally STOP following the advice.

So Feeling Good, as well as manifesting everything you want in life, also protects you from evil demons. Stingray 2010-07-05T03:48:17Z 2010-07-05T03:48:17Z
If you strip away the fatalistic fortune-telling aspect, Astrology amounts to the mathematical study of the metaphysical cycles that underlie this physical reality.

You could say it provides a description of the background effects that we are all subject to by playing within the confines of this physical platform that we choose to incarnate in.

I think that, at the exact moment of birth, the birth chart (Natal Chart) is a remarkably accurate indicator of the individual's personality because it is a precise description of the vibrational doorway that the individual used to enter this physical reality.

And if that individual deliberately took little or no responsibility or conscious control for their life, the mathematics of Astrology would continue to predict quite accurately the various push-and-pull forces that would influence him or her throughout their life (Astrological Transits).

However, as soon as that individual did start taking conscious control of their life through, say, an understanding of the operation of the Law of Attraction, they would be able to step outside of the forecast trends and influences.

And while their natal chart would still be an accurate snapshot of their birth personality, it would no longer have much relevance to who they have now chosen to consciously become.

But since the vast majority of people on this planet still don't take much (if any) personal responsibility for their own lives, Astrology (in my view) still remains a fairly accurate indicator of who they are and what influences they are feeling from those background metaphysical cycles.

Hence the reason that Astrology has endured for thousands of years but still isn't accurate enough to satisfy the materially-based scientists' need for it to work all the time to be considered a valid science.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6700/isnt-there-really-only-one-answer-to-every-problem/6707#6707 Answer by Stingray for Isn't there really only one answer to every problem? And anything else you have time for' since, as you're beginning to realize, it is really the key to everything in life.

One vital point of understanding about 'Joy First' which may not be immediately obvious is that the statement does not actually say 'Get Into Joy First', it just says 'Joy First', which actually means 'Aim For Joy First'.

Aiming for an emotion is very different to getting into an emotion.

If you are currently feeling Depressed, there's no way you can leap into Joy anyway. It's just too much of a jump up the emotional scale.

In the diagram below, Depression (No. 22) is at the bottom of the scale while Joy (No. 1) is right at the top.

With the emotional scale, you generally only have vibrational access to a few emotional setpoints above or below where your dominant feeling regarding a subject currently is.

So if, say, you are feeling Hatred (No. 19), the best you may be able to feel in that moment might only be Anger (No. 17) and the worst might be Guilt (No. 21).

That's not to say that you cannot move your current vibrational/emotional setpoint (using methods like Focus Blocks) but it does mean that your emotional range is fixed and in that moment you cannot perceive Joy at all.

Joy First means you should aim for the best-feeling emotion you can at the time...the one that brings you the most relief.

One interesting sidenote about your emotional range being fixed is that someone who, say, habitually lives in Revenge (No. 18) murders another and then immediately regrets it cannot feel any worse in that moment than someone who say, lives in Optimism (No. 5) and then dips into Blame (No. 15). Both will be experiencing similar amounts of emotional pain even though you might think instinctively that the regretful murderer would be suffering more.

As Abraham say, when you are feeling good, a little bit of feeling bad can go a long, long way.

The sidenote to this sidenote then is that as you start to feel better about things in your life, you have a responsibility to yourself to consciously release resistance as it comes up otherwise the thoughts you may have been able to settle on previously with little discomfort while your emotional setpoint was lower will wreak havoc upon your new mental state (and your physical body) as you try to settle into this new better-feeling emotional setpoint.

Those old thoughts will now be on the extremes of your emotional range and will cause a vibrational contradiction within you that will feel painful even though they previously felt comfortable when your emotional range was at a lower setpoint.

This vibrational contradiction, when carried to the extreme, is the real cause behind many physical terminal illnesses such as cancer.

This idea of humans having a fixed emotional range is worth contemplating because it will explain alot about how people behave around you.

And you'll realize that often people are behaving in the best way they can, even though you think they should be behaving better.

Sometimes it is unreasonable to expect people to be reasonable :)

Back to the question of Joy First now...

I said earlier that the phrase really means Aim For Joy First. (Bashar uses the word Excitement rather than Joy to describe exactly the same idea and you can use that word instead if you prefer).

Now here's how you use the idea of Joy First...

Whenever you reach a point of decision in any moment in your life about what to do next, stop briefly, and look at all the options available to you.

The best choice for you is to do the thing that most aims for Joy.

As said previously, if you are in Hatred in that moment (No. 19), the most aiming for Joy emotion you might be able to reach might only be Anger (No. 17) so that would be your preferred choice of action in that moment.

By action, I don't necessarily mean only physical action, I mean also mental action (thought). It's usually not a great idea to take physical action when you are feeling bad, but sometimes you may feel you have no choice but to physically act.

Now once you have acted, you keep going with your action until it no longer feels like the most aiming for Joy (or exciting thing) to do anymore.

Then you stop briefly again and reconsider your options, and again, choose to do the next thing that is the most aiming for Joy (or exciting) thing you think you can.

This may lead to you apparently doing a series of random unconnected tasks during your day, but they won't be unconnected at all...they will all actually be the things that will be the most beneficial for you to do in your life at those times even if you don't consciously understand why...those tasks will all be connected by a thread of joy...and if you continue following that thread of joy in everything you do, your life will transform rapidly into how you really want it to be.

'Joy First' is a complete toolkit for living your life in the best way you can. It contains everything you need to know about how to run your life in every moment, and continued use of it will seemingly work miracles if you trust it.

To summarize:

Whenever you have a choice about what to do next in your life, pick the thing to do that seems to you to contain the most joy or excitement from where you are emotionally.

Do it for as long as you want, or until you feel doing something else now would contain the most joy or excitement. In that case, stop and do that instead.

Repeat the process for the rest of your life.

To summarize the summary:

Joy first. Stingray 2010-07-01T04:48:59Z 2010-07-01T08:49:38Z
It's just habit linked with a belief that it takes effort, that's all.

( See also: Do negative thoughts manifest faster than the positive? )

Beliefs are only habits of thought. And your reality is an exact reflection of your beliefs about it.

Habits maintain the status quo. And thanks to the Law of Attraction perpetuating whatever you are dominantly thinking, habits bring stability of focus to the physical reality in which we exist.

When those habits of thought change, your reality changes. There's really nothing more to it than that. That's one of the reasons why the study of habits interests me so much.

However, the idea of habit is much more subtle than we, as physical humans, think it is.

As far as reality creation is concerned, you are re-creating your entire Universe in every moment. So when you think you are not making any progress, it's really the case that the Universe you are re-creating in every moment just looks too similar (to you) to the one you created a moment ago.

In fact, if you really want to blow your mind and get even more precise about what's going on, there is only one moment in the whole Universe and you are just re-creating different perspectives on it. That's why you only have The Now...because that is the only moment in the whole of history that exists. Mind-stretching concept, isn't it? :)

So, if that's the case, then what we think of as habit is actually us being inflexible in our perspectives. This can be a good thing because, as I mentioned above, it brings stability of focus and that is the primary reason for focusing in this physical reality. The perspective of non-physical doesn't have this stability.

But consider then that the potential exists (if we can become more flexible) for us to completely alter anything in our entire Universe in any moment we choose...you have the potential to manifest anything you want instantly. It doesn't mean you will, but the potential exists for you to do so.

Interesting, don't you think? :)

Anyway back to your question...

This question touches on where I think the Focus Blocks Method is next evolving towards as far as being a systematic approach to reality creation...in other words, it's what I'm currently working on... :)

Everything you do in your life is either to avoid pain or seek pleasure. That's it. No exceptions.

We tend to reach points of balance with pain and pleasure that result in how we behave and also how we create our habits of thought (beliefs).

As soon as that pain/pleasure equilibrium shifts, our behavior (habits) shift...and the shift happens instantly and effortlessly.

Now what happens if you attach pleasure to a belief you want to become dominant, and pain to a belief you want to move away from?

Wouldn't you get an instant and effortless shift in your beliefs, and thereby an instant and effortless shift in your reality?

As it stands, Focus Blocks enhances the positive belief molding process (i.e. attaches more and more pleasure to a belief you want) by you coming up with good-feeling statements why the belief you want is true.

Now what happens if you simultaneously take the belief you don't want and add more and more pain to it, again using Focus Blocks, by making statements why the old belief cannot be true?

Wouldn't this lead a dramatic shift in your pain/pleasure equilibrium point regarding that habit of thought (belief)?

Something to experiment with, perhaps?

This is not a definite process that I'm advocating yet. I'm still experimenting with the ideas myself, and my approach may change as I gain more insights into it, so I can't really present it as a new method yet.

But for those of you who see the enormous potential of Focus Blocks and understand that, as far as the Universe is concerned, there are no limits as to what can be manifested and when, it's an idea you may wish to play with in your own life and see what happens.
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6648/what-if-i-dont-really-believe-the-things-in-my-focus-blocks/6652#6652 Answer by Stingray for What if I don't really believe the things in my focus blocks? Stingray 2010-06-30T05:51:04Z 2010-06-30T06:12:12Z
Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, you seem to be asking why those statements in that particular example Focus Block, mentioned in the Focus Blocks method, don't make you excited?

Well, they wouldn't, because they were not your statements. They were my own statements in an actual previous Focus Block of mine - simply cut and pasted from my own Focus Blocks software. That particular block is just meant as an illustration of how the method works. It's doubtful that they would have any particular interest or excitement for you.

While, occasionally, a statement in someone else's Focus Block may genuinely feel good to you as the next statement in your own block, that would probably just be a lucky "coincidence" since we are all in different vibrational places going in different vibrational directions.

Abraham have written a book called The Astonishing Power of Emotions which does contain a number of general Focus Block/Focus Wheel statements intended to bring people to better feeling-places on a number of subjects.

And while those statements are effective (because Abraham are masters of this method!), they are still not going to be anywhere nearly as powerful as writing your own statements.

As for your statement about deluding yourself...well, the whole of physical reality is a delusion...a mirror of your personal (and mostly arbitrary) beliefs about it. Focus Blocks is a systematic method for molding those beliefs into ones that serve you rather than ones than hinder you.

So pick whatever delusion you like :)
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6636/are-eckhart-tolle-the-power-of-now-and-the-law-of-attraction-compatible/6646#6646 Answer by Stingray for Are Eckhart Tolle (The Power Of Now) and the Law Of Attraction compatible? Stingray 2010-06-29T17:58:40Z 2010-06-29T17:58:40Z
To my shame, I haven't read Mr Tolle's book yet. I keep stumbling across references to it time and again and it's high on my list but...yes, I know, I have no excuse for not reading it yet :)

Based upon your description of the idea within the book of living in the now, I see no contradiction between that and manifesting what you want, which appears to be what you are concerned about.

I presume Mr Tolle means Be Happy In The Now when he refers to living in the present, otherwise the idea wouldn't make much sense.

So, if that's the case, then he seems to be touching on the purest form of manifesting, which is...

Be happy (in the now) and you'll get everything you want

Yes, you don't even need to consciously think about what you want :)

See this answer for more insights about this idea: Why do we choose to use manifestation techniques as opposed to getting in the vortex?

The reason that Be Happy (in the Now) works as the "ultimate" manifesting method is because your desire is created in the moment that you want it.

As far as the Universe is concerned, your desire already exists once you've made the decision to want it. There's nothing else for it to do.

So it's really all about you gaining vibrational access to that already-existing desire.

And the only essential requirement to physically manifest it is actually to Be Happy Now because that good feeling in the present moment indicates alignment with your Inner Being / Higher Self which, if you've read the previous link, you'll realize is where your desire is waiting for you, vibrationally speaking.

Indeed, if you strip down all effective manifesting methods to their bare bones, aren't they all ultimately trying to get you to be happy in the Now?

And Now is all we have anyway, so actually there really isn't anywhere else to live but in the present. :)
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6622/what-do-you-do-when-you-make-a-mistake-ask-for-forgiveness-but-cannot-let-go-of/6629#6629 Answer by Stingray for What do you do when you make a mistake, ask for forgiveness, but cannot let go of it and go on? Stingray 2010-06-28T13:21:44Z 2010-06-28T13:21:44Z
You've mentioned a few times on this site about your beautiful experience with an angel. I can't remember the exact details of the experience you mentioned but I'm sure you would have noticed from it that there was no judgement involved with such a genuine non-physical encounter. It would have been an experience of pure love and acceptance.

In fact, you will find this to be true of all genuine non-physical interactions...

Non-physical never judges

Why is this important?

It's important because...

You cannot be forgiven if you haven't been judged

So, if non-physical doesn't judge and so doesn't want your forgiveness, then who does want it?

The only judges that can ever exist are actually yourself, or other people - either directly, or through their convincing of you that you have transgressed some man-made rule or law.

So, ask yourself now, who's opinion do you value more in your life? ...the opinion of moody and inconsistent humans (perhaps even including yourself), who often exist in disconnected states like fear, depression, and hatred, or the opinion of divine consciousness which always pours forth stability, pure love, understanding and acceptance?

I don't think you would be reading this website over any extended period of time if you didn't consider the "opinion" of divine consciousness to be more important.

So why allow the divinity within yourself to be condemned by man-made rules?

Perhaps it's time for you to be a little kinder to yourself and allow yourself to be guided by a higher power than the petty, arbitrary and inconsistent rules of man to which you may have given undue importance in your life up to now?

One final thought...people often think that forgiving and asking forgiveness is about being kind to other people.

But the true spiritual meaning of forgiving and asking forgiveness is actually to be kind to yourself.

Something to think about, maybe?
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6599/reincarnation-has-it-always-to-be-karmic/6610#6610 Answer by Stingray for Reincarnation: Has it always to be Karmic? Stingray 2010-06-26T08:14:15Z 2010-06-26T08:40:25Z
I'm sure you will have noticed an underlying theme in all of my postings to this group over the past several months.

That theme is that we live in an ordered, consistent and understandable Universe.

And I think it will serve you well if you remember that theme whenever you are confronted with those who spread Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.

I was beaten over the head for years with this Karma idea of punishment and reward and, for a while, I believed what I was told.

I was told that if I ever did something wrong, I would pay for it later at some unknown time in some unknown way. Strangely enough, no-one ever defined exactly what wrong meant but, funnily enough, wrong always seemed to be aligned with the arbitrary moral values of the person talking to me.

So I was confronted with this idea that kept me constantly worried and fearful that I would do something wrong and be punished. And it made me miserable and depressed.

But wait a minute...if I was now miserable and depressed, I thought to myself at that time, this feels like punishment doesn't it?

And so, I reasoned, that can only mean that I did something wrong previously in a past life - because I'm pretty sure that I haven't been that bad in this one. I figured I must have been a pretty awful person to be suffering so much.

So the result is that I suffered even more because now, not only was I being punished, I was also a bad person in a previous life.

For me, this mental state went on for years as I blindly accepted the wisdom of people regarding Karma, even though none of them could answer my questions about exactly how Karma worked or what I could do to get rid of it. (It's like when some extremely religious people tell you that you must not question what they say - you must simply accept it.)

And strangely enough, I noticed no-one else around me living particularly happy lives either, even though they were apparently spiritual people. In fact, most of them seemed miserable and unhappy too...obviously, they must be being punished too for being bad people in previous lives. There seemed to be a lot of currently-good, but previously bad, people around within the spiritual circles I moved in.

Then one day I had an encounter with a tall being of white light which I have described previously on this website.

From that day, everything changed for me. Everything.

I started to question things that I had been told I should not question. I started to look at things I was told I should not look at. I started to talk to people who I was told I should not talk to.

My search was relentless. That being of light had made me feel empowered for the first time in my life for many, many years.

And, as that feeling of relentless empowerment began to dominate my consciousness, my world started to change. Answers to things I had always wanted to know started to flood in, even to things which I had been told there were no answers for.

I'm sure you will have realized by now from what I've written that it was that feeling of depression that had prevented me from finding those answers before because the Law of Attraction was only bringing me more circumstances to match that feeling.

And once I felt empowered, I started to attract empowering people, situations and knowledge. I even stumbled across Abraham...since the knowledge that was previously there under my nose was now a vibrational match to how I felt and it entered my reality.

Now I make it a point in my life to empower people whenever they are attracted into my reality. I've learned myself that just giving people that little bit of hope that they are not trapped in their life circumstances - that they are not victims - is really all that it takes to start them on a life-changing process. I'm just passing on what that being of light did for me.

So now, let's come back to Karma and all the punishment/reward stuff...

Does Karma seem like an empowering concept to you or a dis-empowering concept to you? Do the people who tell you that you must believe in it seem empowered or dis-empowered to you? What does your gut tell you about them?

Has anyone ever explained to you exactly how Karma works? Or do they just give you vague answers and avoid the subject of the mechanics of Karma? Do their arguments seem like spaghetti to you...all a mish-mash of intertwined endless looping and twisting? And you know how hard it is to eat spaghetti? :)

There is a method on this website called Focus Blocks that will take any thought, move it into a better place and bring different manifestations into your life as a result. It works for anyone who sincerely tries it. So if all these thoughts and their subsequent manifestations are under your precise control, where did the Karma go?

If you accept that the Law of Attraction exists and it is true that we attract into our lives whatever is in alignment with our dominant thoughts then, again, where did the Karma go?

Metaphysically speaking, everything that happens in the Universe actually happens simultaneously. Outside of our limited focus in this physical reality, the past, present and future are all actually happening now. Yes, it's a mind-blowing concept that may take you a while to internalize but the point is that if everything is happening now how can Karma exist in the way that people understand it? There was no past in which to do bad things because the past is Now!

What does your emotional guidance tell you about the concept of this mysterious Karma. Do you feel good when you think about it, or does it make you feel bad?

You might be wondering why this answer is so questioning and just based so much on my personal experience and thoughts. Why can I not precisely come up with a simple set of statements that disprove that Karma exists?

Simple reason - how can you disprove the existence of something when no-one shows you how to find it?...I don't have anything concrete to disprove because no-one will come up with the exact explanation of how Karma works that can be disproven.

So, until the day that happens, and someone who puts forward this punishment/reward Karma idea actually reveals its apparent method of operation, all that I can do is resort to anecdotal evidence.

It's a bit like someone telling you that the sun may not rise up tomorrow into the sky, but they won't tell you the exact rules that will govern when it will come up and when it doesn't.

So when the sun does rise and you tell them they got it wrong, they simply tell you that the rules for it not to rise were not satisfied so it did rise that day. But tomorrow, it may not rise :)

You can't win when people draw you into playing that game, and that's probably why this nonsense Karma concept manages to perpetuate.

So there you have it. I can't disprove Karma to you but I can suggest some thoughts (as hopefully I have done) that may cause you to question what you are told about it now and in the future.

And, finally, since you mentioned Abraham, I would like to share with you what Abraham think of Karma...and I think they sum it up very well. :)

Abraham's blunt and direct view of Karma
http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6558/any-tips-or-techniques-on-out-of-body-experience-and-what-can-you-do-with-obe/6597#6597 Answer by Stingray for Any tips or techniques on Out of Body experience and what can you do with OBE? Stingray 2010-06-25T05:33:09Z 2010-06-25T05:33:09Z
I think you're right Drham - the same thing happens to me also.

I can go for days sometimes without meditating when I feel aligned or when my everyday focus is completely dominated by something good-feeling - it just feels unnecessary to meditate.

I think this happens because the purpose of the meditation is put you back in touch with the feeling of that aligned state. And when you are already there, you are not going to feel any different before or after the meditation session.

However, as soon as I notice something uncomfortable manifest in my physical experience (no matter how small or insignificant it is), that's an indication to me that something is slightly off in my vibrational output and it's time to start meditating again for a while to re-establish the conscious feeling of that good-feeling benchmark.

Also, if you've not been meditating for a while, it's good occasionally to have a test session whereby you meditate and see if you really do feel any different before and after. We, as human beings, seem to have a tendency to get used to uncomfortable feelings quickly and almost imperceptibly.

The reason you can't be in a perpetual state of bliss is because that joyful sensation results from the full allowing of the vibrational difference between where your inner being is focused and where your physical self is focused.

When you've caught up with where your inner being is, you don't experience that joyful rush anymore because you are both focused in the same place or, to put it another way, both travelling at the same speed.

And so, you need another desire in your life to cause the further expansion of your inner being and then give you the opportunity to experience more joy/bliss as you catch up again.

It's a bit like running to catch a bus that is leaving without you.

You feel the thrill of the chase as you are pursuing the vehicle. Clearly something was activated within me that caused me to focus on that particular issue. It really doesn't matter though what precisely is activated but rather that you always choose the path of feeling better. That question is a good example though of me taking action from a place of not feeling good and, as a result, what I asked came out sounding to others like a different question than what I intended. So, indeed, I was in fact doing exactly what I was saying that Mr Anka was doing, by drawing attention to something that made me uncomfortable :) http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6896/are-people-really-ready-to-accept-the-difference-between-a-channeler-who-perceive/6897#6897 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-20T21:15:43Z 2010-07-20T21:15:43Z @Eddie - if you look at Bashar's 4 Laws of Creation (youaretrulyloved.com/enlightenment/…), the only one you can practically use is still The Law of Attraction...the rest provide a framework. Regarding aggregate vibration, The Law of Attraction responds to individual thoughts only. Speaking casually (as I sometimes do) you can talk about that person's mood or attitude...but it really isn't that...it's individual points of focus (thoughts) only. Otherwise how would Focus Blocks or many Abraham processes that deal with specific subjects work? http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6907/my-financial-abundance-is-not-manifesting-what-should-i-do/6911#6911 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-20T06:38:59Z 2010-07-20T06:38:59Z @Drham - the manifestation itself is really nothing but an excuse to give you a reason to focus. The process is the important thing, not the end-result...though I appreciate that many people want their stuff as soon as possible...and that's fine too. But if you are enjoying the process of aligning with what you want so much that it is the thrill of the vision that is the most important thing to you rather than the fleeting momentary pleasure that comes with a physical manifestation then would you even care? Wouldn't you just go with the flow and let whatever comes come? http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6907/my-financial-abundance-is-not-manifesting-what-should-i-do/6911#6911 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-19T20:40:10Z 2010-07-19T20:40:10Z Good to hear you've discovered something about yourself. I don't know about Manifesting Experiment 3 yet, but I've been working on an extension to Manifesting Experiment 2 (Focus Blocks) for some time now. But it still doesn't feel clear and simple enough in my mind to release yet, which is an indication to me that more clarification and testing is still required. http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6896/are-people-really-ready-to-accept-the-difference-between-a-channeler-who-perceive/6897#6897 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-19T03:48:48Z 2010-07-19T03:48:48Z @Eddie - I've been through many hours of Bashar's material now. My main focus has been finding inconsistencies between Bashar and Abraham on manifesting and belief change and, despite going through recordings dealing with those subjects multiple times, I haven't found any inconsistencies. The language, examples and techniques are different but nothing else is as far as I can see. If you're saying that Bashar's Law of Attraction only applies to aggregated vibration, that would be a major difference in my view and I'd appreciate a reference to the recording this is stated in. Thanks :) http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6896/are-people-really-ready-to-accept-the-difference-between-a-channeler-who-perceive/6897#6897 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-19T03:43:51Z 2010-07-19T03:43:51Z @Michaela - no touching of nerves at all and no need to apologize for anything. Are you suggesting I should not have any emotional response? In my case, it doesn't feel comfortable to me to have someone associated with knowledge relating to the Law of Attraction activating a vibration of something I presume they don't want. But I'm not going to lose any sleep over it or make it the main focus of my life, so I just call it an observation...something I noticed in passing and thought of highlighting on this website :) http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6896/are-people-really-ready-to-accept-the-difference-between-a-channeler-who-perceive/6897#6897 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-18T19:40:13Z 2010-07-18T19:40:13Z @Wildlife - thanks for providing an interesting and thought-provoking perspective. I didn't mean to imply that Mr Anka's message was unfair. But it still does seem strange to me that someone who channels information based around The Law of Attraction - or as Bashar puts it "What you give out is what you get back" - would give out a message like this and give it more attention in his life...and thereby ensure he gets back more of what he doesn't want. It's not intended as a critcism of Mr Anka, who I think channels some spectacular information, more of an observation actually. http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6728/loa-trumped-by-god/6732#6732 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-18T13:12:46Z 2010-07-18T13:12:46Z Hypothetical examples are never that helpful. In the case you cite, if you came across a starving 4 year old child in Africa, would you really feel like doing nothing for them except discussing metaphysics? Or would you feel like helping? And why wouldn't your help be part of what that child is attracting? But it is still better ultimately to reawaken people to the fact that their lives are completely under their own control in every moment. Hiding that knowledge behind dogma and superstition does not serve them in my view. http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6843/is-it-possible-to-be-too-specific-in-your-desire Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-15T19:11:59Z 2010-07-15T19:11:59Z See also: How specific should your asking process be? inwardquest.com/questions/3344/… http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6791/are-you-aware-of-the-other-sides-thoughts-on-loa/6792#6792 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-11T13:32:51Z 2010-07-11T13:32:51Z @Michaela - I quite agree with you. The experiences of the group can be likened to the experiences of an individual but on a macro scale. So, much in the same way that a child that has been sheltered by its parents experiences a bit of discomfort on the first day in a school full of strangers, the group is passing through a transitioning phase to a new level of energy. This current disruptive influence is symptomatic of that change http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6791/are-you-aware-of-the-other-sides-thoughts-on-loa/6797#6797 Comment by Stingray Stingray 2010-07-11T10:06:35Z 2010-07-11T10:06:35Z "It is in this context for this person.
