Emile Coue gave us rules for how to use our minds to bring about the results we most desire. These rules are simple and as follows:

1) When the will and imagination are antagonistic, it is always the imagination which wins, without exception.

2) In the conflict between the will and the imagination, the force of the imagination is in direct ratio to the square of the will.

3) When the will and imagination are in agreement, one does not add to the other, but one is multiplied by the other.

4) Imagination can be directed.

(The expressions ratio, square of and multiplied are not exact but to emphasize clarity of understanding the will and imagination in relation of each)

He gave a simple example: a 30 foot long board a foot wide flat on the ground, most would walk across without problem of falling. Now put that same board between two buildings two stories high, and now that same task becomes very difficult.

No matter how strong the will, the imagination fears falling and imagines falling so the prospect of falling turns into the reality of falling. The harder and stronger the will to fight it the more one will stumble and fall.

This works the same for addictions, for wanting to lose weight etc... Will over Imagination, Imagination wins every time and as said multiplied over the will.

In this way if we can imagine it we experience it.

How high and far can we really take this?

I don't think there is a limit to this only our belief if it is possible hence we limit the imagination of what we can become.

"Every day, in every respect, I am getting better and better."

Self Mastery Through Conscious Autosuggestion by Emile Coue

Have you seen the movie Sphere?

(04 Mar '11, 13:30) Fairy Princess

Only as high as you reach, can you grow :)

(04 Mar '11, 13:59) Roy

I remember Sphere now, everyone experienced their beliefs instantly. I read that there is a place under the Great Pyramid that acts the same and was used for initiations. If you lived to come out the next day you were initiated

Ive just finished reading a little of Coues work. I think the square roote thing was metaphorical but i see her point.

I would tend to agree.Imaginations a God sourced trait which has been used to bring humanity from the cave to the penthouse.

I think its without limit. If you had told a reasonably educated person 100 years ago that we would put a man on the moon within 70 years they would have locked you up in an asylum.

Imagination has put humanity on another planet.. Enough said.

Thanks Wade, actually i read this only the day before you posted.Good read and well worth the time spent on it. Dont know if theres any Coue on Psi Tek. Perhaps some could be added. I very much liked her writing.

@Monty Riviera Yes we agree but as Fairy Princess pointed out, some things no matter how much we imagine are just not possible. So it seems like it is limited to only what is possible but then again as you pointed out about the moon landing, what is impossible today may not be tomorrow. If I imagined I had wings and believed it enough would I grow wings? Not likely, and I haven't seen anyone achieve that. So it seems there is something missing. Sort of a menu, anything on the menu we could have.

Our limited beliefs are the only thing holding us back. When we can identify and oust them, we can begin to use that wonderful tool called imagination to create the life we want and I really do think the sky's the limit.

We all have so much untapped potential within, that will stay untapped until we start looking for it and begin using the God given tools, such as imagination, to help us along the way.

Imagination is the precursor to the life we create.

That's very deep Wade! I don't know if I am capable of tackling such a question, but I'll try. Here it goes, yes, if we can imagine it we'll experience it. I know that even during the times that I like to take before falling asleep for fantacy, everything I imagine I do experience, from loss to joy. I am not sure where these fantasies are manifesting for they are not from this reality. As far as taking the imagination to make change, this has worked/is working for me. I live in my dream body, in my dream home with my dream family on my dream planet.

Thank you, namaste

Well I would say that the limit is whay limits the physical world will allow, but everything is energy, so that makes things different, but at the same time it doesn't. We still have laws of physics that rule the physical world, while the law of quantum physics rules the micro world. Now, if you imagine that you are the president, you will have to do a lot of work to manifest that because there is some education required and people have to vote for you. I guess if your will is stronger than the voters, you can cause the voters to vote for you. Maybe that's why we keep getting such creepy people in politics, they mind controlled the voters. Also if you want to imagine purple elephants with pink spots, that either won't happen, or will take time to manifest in the mamma elephant, because an elephant doesn't change it's spots. But if you imagine your dream house, it either exists already and you can manifest it into your life, or you must wait until it is built. Dreamers dreamed and we have sent people to the moon, deep under the sea, inside a human, flown in airplanes, etc... These were all somebody's dream. These activities defy the laws of nature, but people have designed machines that help us to acheive these dreams. So maybe you will invent a machine that turnse elephants purple with pink spots. But then, maybe you shouldn't. Maybe it would be disastrous to the environment some way.

@Fairy Princess Very interesting observations on the limitations. Yes there is a lot that no matter how much we imagine, it can't be. So this does put to the question how could it work only part way? Maybe there is something we are missing like as long as it is possible but then we are right back to belief.

I have been handed a box of Heavenly Crayola Crayons, and a Pad of Heavenly Construction Paper. God said to me,

"Anything that you can draw, you can have in my Universe, if you Believe it to be so." So there are no limits! Truly!

You need to use your mind to create and when you create you make changes, when you stop creating nothing moves, problems are not solved and people get deluded thinking that they can do nothing and have to accept the situation! If men did not create anything they would be dead, dead of hunger, dead of frost, dead of disease, men always need to create! It's by creating that he solves problems and fixes things! Another thing that does not work today, people with money and resources in their ivory towers do not see the problem! they make decisions on problems without knowing what is the problem! who is better in the situation to know how to fix the problem and what is needed than the one dealing with the problem day after day! Because the employee is not a boss he knows nothing, that's how the boss sees things! The boss should talk with employees and ask them what is the problem and how to fix it and take the resources and do it like the employee sees it! and give a bonus or share (to promote motivation to take part in the company) to the employee because they solved a problem in their business! But what do i know i'm only a man like the rest of you!
