I have A.D.D so I have to write my thoughts as they come. One time I smoked a lot of marijuana, so much that I felt the connection between my self and the devine/source or whatever you want to call it, I also felt the connection to the earth, so I felt some type of energy pulling my head towards the sky and another type of energy pulling my feet towards the ground. Hard to explain. Then I received a message from the collective mind telling me that I should say my affirmations at this moment. I thought it was a good idea so I did, My affirmations were "I am concentrating", "I am focusing", after saying those a few times my mind started racing. My mind started absorbing information at a rapid rate, there wasn't a detail in my surroundings that went by unnoticed. I had started to focus on really small details. Then I received another message that said I should associate my affirmations with my strongest most occurring emotion. That emotion happens to be sexual. There is not a minute that goes by that I don't think about sex. And all the women I come into contact with feel those vibrations. Some enjoy it, some don't. But anyway, I decided to associate my affirmations with that same sexual vibration. I can charge my aura with sexual energy on demand. While my aura is sexually charged I would say my affirmations.

Will this method increase the effectiveness of my affirmations? I have been doing this for 3 days now.

You've been trying it for three days. What do you think?

At least the ridicule was not better disguised with a serious question.

The kind of preoccupation described here is more consistent with addiction than it is with spiritual awakening.

Agreed Vesuvius, talking about addiction to drugs being somehow a spiritual thing instead of a delusional thing pulls down and even seems to make fun of what we are serious about.

Emotionally charged affirmations do seem to be more effective, that is true.

First off, the whole thing with being connected to "the divine" or whatever you'd like to call it, and being connected to the earth, simultaneously, is something I've definitely felt before. I think there is always a constant struggle between balancing the two and there has only been a select number of times where I feel as though the connection to both was in equilibrium, for me personally. Trying to enjoy your day to day activities and the important people in your life while maintaining a hold and a strong connection to "the greater scheme of things." Being able to be present and enjoy your physical life while knowing and not just acknowledging the importance of everything that is

Now, to attempt to answer your question, I agree that emotionally charged affirmations (if I understand correctly what you mean by affirmations) tend to be more effective like leeAnn stated. But the instability of drugs and sex makes them unreliable mediums to, in your case, make effective affirmations. Drugs and sex are both like thin metal rods balancing on a marble.

Both can be used to come to accurate conclusions, but they also easily pivot in one direction or the other and can lead to very inaccurate conclusions.

Basically, what I'm saying is, try to find other methods.
