Best Motivational Quote that keeps you running?

Which spiritual quotes are the most inspirational and profound?

Very often I forget many of the good mental prompts on positive thinking and appealing to my subconscious that I come across when reading etc. To help myself, I started a txt document and printed the ones out that appeal to me [when I remember them!] and I thought that as I have favourites even in the little I have read, then maybe others too have favourites, what is yours? I thought maybe some other people might want a collection to print as a visual aid. I find them very useful when a negative ‘mood’ hits me so I can 'quote it away' until I find something else with which to occupy my attention more positively! It is a good help for memory too [re-learned savings] as you know it already, but just forgot it for the moment. Thank you for your help. I am not sure if this is a double post, tho’ I did look a lot to check and could not find one that has ‘short and sweet’ quotes. They can be something you made up:) I just can’t think of anything profound to quote from me!!

“Let the image in your mind agree with your heart’s desire” and “Your subconscious mind cannot take a joke. It takes you at your word”

First of all you posted before that.

"I find them very useful when a negative ‘mood’ hits me so I can 'quote it away' until I find something else with which to occupy my attention more positively!"

From my perspective what you're doing by 'occupying your attention more positively' is you're not letting yourself feel the feelings that are YOURS!

What we are on right now, meaning Ascension process, is the process of re-membering or intergrating all parts and apsects of our personalities that we have disowned at one part of our life through upbringing.

For example if a kid gets beaten up the parents might say 'Oh, stop crying, act like a man.' That kind of belief, as it was in my case, might be the one that will let the kid belief that not showing your e-motions (energy motions) is something good. Well, IT'S NOT! It's exactly why we all are here in the first place. We are here, because at one point at time or another, we have been led to believe that we should not look at some things that scare us.

Well, you can not change something that you do not own, once you own you can transform it in anything you like.

So of course when you start on this 'spiritual journey' you will find that the things that you dis-owned in the past will pull you back from the present moment. They are like bastards kids that you put in the basement for noone to see, but each time you have company they scream and shout. What that screaming and shouting is is in fact screaming for ATTENTION. What they are are blockages that you, or someone else, has installed in your belief systems, that disrupt the flow of e-motions (energy motions).

Every time that these 'bad' e-motions come up, you are thought you should not look at them. So as to before you became 'spiritual' you used drugs, alcohol, sex and TV for that purpose, now you use meditation, affirmation and so forth to do the same exact thing. You may think that it 'helps', but the truth is it doesn't. You just cure the symptom, and not the cause of the problem.

If you wanna cure the cause you HAVE GOT TO GIVE IT ATTENTION. What it means is when you feel 'bad' emotions sit with it. Sit and see what comes up. Just the pure recognition of the screaming will make the kids shut up. Don't try to manipulate it or change your feelings. You haven't allowen yourself the oppoturnity to feel for so much time that NOW it's time to re-member.

People think that 'good' e-motions are the good guys, and 'bad' are the bad ones. THat's just not true. We were taught to believe that by people, but where has that led us? If you look at the world around you you will see that for yourself. ANd that's exactly why you're here looking for answers.

Well the answer is that all the tools that you're using - meditation, visualisation, affirmation, lucid dreaming, multiple orgasm and so on are ONLY permission slips for you to feel what you haven't in the past. THat's all they are. In of themselves they ARE WORTHLESS. hey simply DO NOT WORK. YOU make them work. YOU are the factor that makes the difference.

I used to have my whole wall in quotes and stuff like that, but what they did is they distracted me from the REAL thing that I had to do - I HAD TO RE-MEMBER HOW TO FEEL. Only when I realised that and I allowed myself to FEEL all those things, just letting them flow, I really started to change. Before that I was the same guy but using different things to distract myself.

So the answer to your wuestion is that YOU DON'T NEED ANY OF THESE THINGS. You need to sit still and allow yourself to FEEL what you haven't allowed yourself before and un-block the blackages so energy motion in your body is in fact effortless, without no white noise.

Do this and I promise you you will feel different. How do you do it?

Well one morning, with no reason at all, you may wake up feeling a little down, alittle depressed and so on. You may want to disregard that feeling, distract yourself with something, but instead do something else. Be curious and excited to explore that feeling. Breath it in for fifteen minutes and let everything that needs to surface do so. Once you do you will release all those blockages and start the process of self-healing. Do this for whole day, and in the evening you will have one of those 'significant days', those days when you really grew.

And what about the quotes? Use them as what they really are, tools. They have no power except for the power you give them. So play with them, inspire other people, but I can teel you from my own experience, as a fact, that you don't need them.

You only need to gather in-sights (see in), which simply means learn the lessons from your life experiences. And you can do it without a conscious recognition but only by acknowledging that where YOU NEED TO LOOK and allow yourself to feel whatever comes up.

That is REALLY what being spiritual means, 'seeing in' and accepting it. You will heal yourself and transform and will be on your way to greatness.

I have many I like but to me I do really like most of Florence Scovel Shinn's quotes these are from her book Your Word Is Your Wand. If you want just scroll straight to the affirmations, these are very powerful affirmations she used her self and for her clients that came to her to speak the word for them.

Behold! I have set before thee the open door of Destiny and no man shall shut it, for it nailed back.

Yes all most all her books are on line free, they are very good, but this one is very affirmation directed, where as the others are more about teaching. I have posted the links to all her books around here many times and many places on line too. I am glad you like it, she does have awesome affirmations!

I love this poem so much...

The Optimist Creed by Christian D. Larson

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.

To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.

To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

EFT is a fast, effective way to eliminate negative emotions, thoughts, fears, limiting beliefs. It is very simple and works great! You tap out the negative, then you can tap in the positive.
