There are many things I would like to pass on to my younger self. But there is one thing in particular that comes to mind...

Most things that happen to us impact our lives because of the way we respond to them, either positively or negatively. Young people feel this more deeply; they are self-conscious about everything. It took me years to learn how to become less self-centered enough to really enjoy life (and I am still working on it). Prior to that, I would obsess over everything.

So, if I had to pick one sentence, it would be this:

If it won't matter five years from now, don't worry about it.

Don't take anything that anyone says personally - it is just their opinion ; nobody is right and nobody is wrong - we're all on this journey called 'life' learning and growing together.

Too true! Why isn't this being taught in schools?

Your reality is a representation of your most recent thoughts, so stay focused on thinking and being the change you wish to see in the world.

You chose how you feel, so choose to feel good.

Say to yourself:

There is nothing that I have to do, but only that which I now choose to do!

Particularly helpful in times of anxiety or stress as it brings you back to the present moment.

I think I know what you are saying here Rani and I would agree with you at that 'higher' level. But I think young people might read this at a base level and take it to the extreme and to their detriment ??

Source was bored and devised this game we call life, there are certain inherent laws to make it interesting, but you get to pick and design your own playing piece.
