I’m starting the Master Key course and I have a question about being still and staring off into space. Do I have to stay perfectly still? Am I allowed to move my hands or legs slightly? I have to or I’ll simply fall asleep. If I am not allowed to move my hands or legs slightly, how do I keep myself awake?

I asked a similar question a while ago: "Lately, when I try to meditate, I fall asleep. Is it because of sickness, or am I doing something wrong?" Is this a duplicate question? Jai – Jaianniah Mar 10 at 20:56

It is almost a duplicate but I'll leave it open since it is being asked specifically in relation to a particular Master Key System exercise rather than meditation in general – John Sheridan Mar 11 at 21:58

The idea is to gain complete control of your physical body (no movement at all) - until you are able to do this, you will be unable to take control of your mind, which is the objective behind the exercises. By finding something to focus on (eg. your breath) you should be able to stay awake - the more you practice, the easier it will get. Good Luck :)

Thanks, that's a really good explanation. It's essentially the same thing that Wayne Dyer says when he talks about meditation, and maintaining your body in good physical condition. – Vesuvius Mar 11 at 22:08
