Suppose you are ill, and you have already taken care of, seen a Dr., taken your medication and everything, so you will get cured with time. It could be a bad cold, bronquitis, stomachaches, anything from slight to moderately serious; you name it. But you are feeling lousy, you don't feel like meditating, you feel like dropping everything, you feel you're losing faith in everything, all due to your feeling phisically bad.

What can you do to keep on with the "feeling good" vibes, where can you find strength to go on with all the work you have been putting on the LoA, Vibrational level, having good emotions and all that, when you feel like you're falling appart?

This sounds like this person is a bit of a whimp, doesn't it? :D But I assure you that's not the case!

With any form of dis-harmony or dis-ease, you'll go through peaks and troughs with it.

Sometimes you'll feel too lousy to even think while other times you'll feel considerably better.

The time to do vibrational work is in those times when you are feeling considerably better.

During the troughs, just let them pass in their own way. Doing vibrational work in those times will just annoy you and probably make you feel even worse because it will remind you how much better you should be feeling - and you'll just get mad at yourself for letting things get so bad.

During each peak, however, you have the chance to improve your condition with some focusing.

It's like pushing a child on a swing. Each time the swing comes back, you can use the existing momentum of it to push it and make it go higher and higher.

But the time to do this pushing is when the swing is already going in the right direction (away from you). If you try to push it when it is heading towards you, you'll have a hard time :)

As Shakespeare said...

There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;

Julius Caesar Act 4, scene 3, 218–224

Hope that is clear.

Thank you Stingray. As allways, very clear. I liked the example of the swing and the picture too! :) Besides, you gave it the final stroke with that quote. I have a soft spot for Shakespeare! lol +1 I will do what you advise next time I'm ill.

What do you mean by 'vibrational work?' EFT really helps in most situations and especially when we ARE feeling bad or ill.

Vibrational Work = Any process that leaves your default feeling about a subject in a better-feeling place

Well then EFT would be great when we are down.

Just to add contribution to the general public: Usually, in most cases, usually a definite, exact time where the swing is going in the correct direction is first thing in the morning. If things seem to be physically and/ or emotionally so shocking and terrible, just endure through it (meaning, just let it pass: yes, IT WILL!), and know that all you have to do is get to bed, and when you awaken, you'll have your vibrational sword sharpened.

There are several things that can be done to shift the focus when you are down and out.

1 - Practice affirmations (just repeat over and over until it registers with the subconscious and the body starts to respond.

2 - Change you physical environment - take a walk on the beach, a long drive, visit the museum - something to get you to shift the focus

3 - Watch some funny movies that will make you laugh so hard that you can barely stop.

As soon as you raise your vibrations then you you can start to move forward. But these are things that you can do anytime you get "stuck".

To prevent oneself from falling into these slumps its important to load yourself up with positive vibrations everyday. Read books that are enlightening, surround yourself with people who have positive vibrations and most important think positively.

Good luck

Let it pass, don't feel bad about it. Just let it be OK and look forward to feeling better soon.
