If someone really does their part in the manifestation process then can the Universe manifest anything or is it limited by practicality as well? Can manifestation also work on slowing or even reversing the ageing process for example. Not immortality just slowing the physical signs of ageing?

You're asking if the universe can manifest a heavier stone than it could ever lift? :->

The rule of thumb concerning manifestational limits is this...

If you can imagine it, you can manifest it.

While that might at first seem shocking or outrageous, if you think it through logically it must be the case.

All that a physical manifestation is, is a thought with which you have come so into alignment that the physical representation of it materializes within your physical reality.

In other words, it is a thought that you have thought so often that it has become dominant within your reality...it has become a belief.

Your physical reality is an exact, absolutely exact, mirror of the beliefs you hold about it.

Now the thing is that any thought can become a dominant thought (i.e. a belief)...you just need to apply processes like The Focus Blocks Method to come into alignment with it.

So if any thought can become dominant, it must mean you can manifest whatever you can think i.e. whatever you can imagine. You can't escape this conclusion if you think it through.

So why don't we see people manifesting the impossible all around us?

It's simply because that to meet those people and experience the evidence of their manifestational impossiblities, you need to be a vibrational match to them first.

And if you already believe certain things are not possible, then you are not a vibrational match to those people who can do them, and you won't see them so you won't believe they exist even more, and so the Law of Attraction will simply bring you more evidence of your belief that they don't exist.

That property of the Law of Attraction, that it brings you evidence of any belief you hold about anything, makes it rather tricky to prove anything conclusively in this world, don't you think? :)

@Stingray- "to meet those people and experience the evidence of their manifestational impossibilities, you need to be a vibrational match to them first."

I watched the movie Ong Bak a few years ago, and watched the amazing, seemingly Spiderman daredevil stunts Tony Jaa was performing...I had the desire to become like him, yet was so stunned at what I was seeing I defiantly perceieved it as impossible in this life time >>

(20 Jul '12, 22:48) Nikulas

<< Who would've known years later, just a few minutes ago, I happen to stumble across the same scene. I now view these seemingly "dangerous stunts" as fairly basic now, and hang around a bunch of people whom also agree with me.

Check it out, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p310Y0tctr8

Btw, the reason I use this particular film compared to a James Bond flick...No CGI, no wires, no stunt doubles.

(20 Jul '12, 22:58) Nikulas

@Nikulas - Pretty amazing stuff :) Makes current Hollywood film-making seem very safe and sanitized. Then again, with more and more legislation in place in Western society preventing any kind of risk-taking, I'm not even sure it would be allowed.

Slowing the aging process is well within normal science. Eat well, exercise, and cultivate a healthy mental attitude.

It's the third one (mental attitude) that is the most intangible, but also arguably the most valuable.

As far as practical limitations, that depends on your point of view. Can you be immortal in this physical life? No, nature is not set up that way. Can you be immortal if you don't consider physical laws and boundaries as limitations? You are already immortal, from that perspective.

Can you pursue happiness by becoming financially independent? Perhaps. Can you choose to be happy at any given moment, regardless of your financial wealth? Always. And by doing so, you improve your chances of attracting more wealth.

It was an easy warm afternoon between rain-showers, sidewalks wet on our way out of town.

"You can walk through walls, can't you, Don?"

"No "

"When you say no to something I know is yes, that means you don't like the way I said the question."

"We certainly are observant, aren't we?" he said.

"Is the problem with walk or with walls?"

"Yes, and worse. Your question presumes that I exist in one limited place-time and move to another place-time. Today I'm not in the mood to accept your presumptions about me. "

I frowned. He knew what I was asking. Why didn't he just answer me straight and let me get on to finding out how he does these things?

"That's my little way of helping you be precise in your thinking," he said mildly.

"OK. You can make it appear that you can walk through walls, if you want. Is that a better question?"

"Yes. Better. But if you want to be precise..."

"Don't tell me. I know how to say what I mean. Here is my question. How is it possible that you can move the illusion of a limited sense of identity, expressed in this belief of a space-time continuum as your 'body,' through the illusion of material restriction that is called a 'wall'?"

"Well done!" he said. "When you ask the question properly it answers itself, doesn't it:"

"No, the question hasn't answered itself. How do you walk through walls?"

The only limitations to what we manifest is determined by our own beliefs.

Not too long ago, space travel, air travel and all our modern technology would have seemed too incredulous to even consider. It boggles the mind to even imagine what physical manifestations will exist in the not too distant future.

As Vesuvius pointed out, the aging process can be slowed and even reversed by cultivating a healthy regime regarding food, diet and nurturing a healthy mental attitude - daily meditation helps tremendously with this and I know extensive studies have been done with meditators showing a significant improvement both in physical and mental health.

Speaking from personal experience, I attribute a lot of positive growth to my daily meditation practice.

There ARE limitations to what we can manifest- for now.

Today.

In this moment.

For example, I cannot grow myself new eyes. I wish I could- mine do not work very well. I have prayed for this for a long, long time, and nothing has happened. I have prayed with all due faith and belief that God would grant my wish.

Nothing.

I think that you are giving ordinary folks the idea that if they CANNOT manifest whatever they wish, that THEY are at fault.

They are not.

My Taxi Driver in Kindergarten had no right arm. It was blown off during WWII.

I KNOW that with TODAY'S technology, he could never grow a new arm.

Perhaps, with tomorrow's technology, we will grow new arms easily and effortlessly. (They are already doing this in the lab with frogs and such, and are studying the regenerative cells that can do this amazing thing. But WE are not frogs. We are more complex.)I wish I could believe. Please see this to understand where I am coming from.

I REALLY want to believe, I really do. But this is feeling to me like a very complex version of believing in Santa Claus...

EDIT FEBRUARY 24 2012: Singray said above this statement: If you can imagine it, you can manifest it. But what if you have brain damage that limits your ability to think properly??? This case demonstrates that there ARE limits to manifesting, no matter what. The mind and thought- meaning correct and purposeful, proper, positive thought- are KEY to the LOA and manifesting. I have re-opened this question, and edited my answer to point out this paradox. Not everyone has the brain to do this work, plain and simple. What do you think? Jai

This is a quote my wife found and I think is incredible: "The mind that perceives the limitation, IS the limitation" Buddha. There's an Abraham seminar where they say something like "You are not growing arms because you don't believe that you can do it" (If I find the link I'll post it). I believe that anything is possible, if at the current moment I see it as impossible, it's just my mind that is seeing the limitation, and it's my "job" to go beyond it.

Universe has no limits to manifesting anythings, until the Universe is on expansion. The expansion is assured by continuous creation. Without any creation process, the Universe stops expanding and starts imploding. This is why requires from us to create.

The limits of manifesting are into us and only into us.

Perhaps the idea that beliefs cultivate reality may be skeptical. Someone please tell me off for this, but how's this for an idea:

In Abrahams LOA series, it is pointed out that thoughts, (beleifs, strong and habitual thoughts) create your reality. In the section upon physical health, it says that eating foods only have certain impacts upon the body due to thoughts and beliefs about those foods. In this sense, this applies to everything- or does it? What about pain?

My example is this. If an adult knows that touching a heater will burn their hand, then what about for an infant toddler, who's ideas and concepts of the world are still being fashioned? The toddler has no beliefs or understandings over fire, yet if it touches it, it will burn its hand. Right there, is a counter-argument for the Abraham LOA beliefs theory. Likewise, eating chocolate cake and fast foods won't give you a six-pack no matter what beliefs you have.

Somebody (please, because I want to learn things) prove me totally wrong. This is LOA 'to the extreme.'

"eating chocolate cake and fast foods won't give you a six-pack no matter what beliefs you have.". Tell that to Michael Phelps ;-).

I've seen a lot of people from skinny girls (my sister included) that eat like there's no tomorrow and don't gain a pound and people that eat leaner and watch what they eat and gain weight.

Regarding the toddler situation, my best answer relates to the Master Key System: ...

(26 Feb '12, 10:49) Kriegerd

"4. The mind, which pervades the body, is largely the result of heredity, which, in turn, is simply the result of all the environments of all past generations on the responsive and ever-moving life forces. An understanding of this fact will enable us to use our authority when we find some undesirable trait of character manifesting."

Abraham has talked about how the focus of the parents and the people surrounding the toddler also has an effect on the circumstances.

Hope it helps!

What came to my mind is: that there are no limitations from the point of view of what the universe is capable of manifesting, the issue is, do you believe that your thoughts are things, and you create what you need through the power of thoughts and imagination, and you send it out to the universe to manifest it for you, so you are the one using the Law of Attraction to attract what you desire, and there is no limitation, except the ones you set up for yourself!

Practical limitations for me would mean the amount of energy and time needed to complete a particular manifestation ... let's take the case of manifesting something comparatively difficult like levitation ... following the teachings of Nithyananda it can be done but takes daily training for about 12 years before being capable of conscious bodily levitation ... this is a lot of time and energy, it all depends on the will to do something

have a great day

Re the 12yrs , if someone believes it is so, then it is , for Them .

You only have to look at sprint runners to see that the record times get quicker and quicker .

Abraham talks of a tipping point where your predominant thought allows the manifestation... have a look at this it's about degrees but the word used really is irrelevant

I believe it is already happening, but most (with their heads stuck in the clouds of spiritual ideas as to how they should come) miss these manifestations.

Scientific advancements get ignored, rejected or ridiculed as against God or nature. What is conveniently overlooked is the fact that most everything that exists is unnatural. How natural is this computer you are using right now?

I believe the advances in science are connected to humanity's cries for longer life, better life, limb repair and replacement.

Look at Walt Disney: he actually had his head frozen to be put on some kind of body in the future. This was a strong desire to live forever. That is just one person's desire, all has an effect on consciousness.

Maybe our next evolution God is letting up to us to upgrade, "We can build him better, stronger, faster." Quote from The Six Million Dollar Man television series.
