Within the past couple of weeks, I have keenly oberseved there seems to be a lower shift in energy amongst certain forums and areas in IQ; at first it drove me away from the website a bit, but now it has my attention, and I feel motivated enough to share with all the steps I personally took and created to get myself out of being suicidal.

Likewise, my hypothesis generates this can help many who are feelings 'in a rut' in their lives, or just overall depressed, regardless of the subject manner that is flowing in pain.

Briefly, I noticed there have been many new users join the website, so I'll quickly run down my personalised story. I do this because, I myself only follow a teacher who follows their own teachings and can live to tell their actions are successful. I say that, to share, I was ultra depressed and more than dead about a year ago. I was heartbroken by a girl, confused by the ideas floating around on IQ, unsuccessful in organising my life, and just plain sad. Even with the help of a psycologist and anti-depressants, my mood and outlook on life as hell seemed permanent, and I sort of half-ass messed around with some self-harming ideas.

But now I'm way out of it. And I'm so much happier in my life and look forward to new and exciting things all the time.

Here's the method:


Create a Bucket List and Act on It


Bucket list = significant things to do before you die.

If you're in a suicidal mind set, then odds are (I should say, the reality is) you are going to end your life perhaps within the next couple of minutes, days, weeks or whatever.

Alot of classical suicide prevention strategies encourage the idea of "post poning" your death for a couple of minutes, days, weeks etc...I wish to highlight that this method does not play around the idea of waiting around until you're ready to die.

This bucket list idea (as raw as this may sound) is not asking you to not end your life. In fact, allow yourself to end your life, promise yourself you will end your life after you achieve all the things on your bucket list.

Consider; you are leaving this physical earth forever....How do you know things won't get better? Why not just take one last gamble with life, do some fun (and legal) things, and then re-consider?

An example of a decent bucket list would be: to have sex for the first time, win something or anything in a bingo draw, ride a horse, try 10 different fruits you've never had in your life, go hiking under the full moon, visit an exotic country, take The Camino De Santiago pilgrimage, hug a baby tiger, write a poem and publsih it, get a tattoo, develop a fit body, win a race, have a child, finish an education course, go out dancing for the first time....

Now, just go out and do these things. I'm not asking you to fix the way you feel, or change your life situation (though you probably may have to do perform some of these tasks), or even stop you killing yourself. Just do this amazing list first.

Paradoxically, through doing this list, and accomplishing some of these dreams, you won't even notice the depression and suicidal mind set just vanish. I set out a bucket list March last year, and vow I kill myself last December.....And it never, ever even came close to happening. I just added to my list, and kept experiencing these things, and seeing how wonderful the world really was.

Likewise, in my past "I'm going to be forever single for the rest of my life and no girl will ever fall in love with me" mindset, I vowed I would at least have a dream in which I kissed a girl in a dream before I adapted that mindset for life.....Let's just say things have shifted up since accomplishing that :)

I earnestly am putting it out there that this has helped.

And if the reason you alternate between depression and anxiety is because you can't manage to accomplish anything in that bucket list?

I've been in suicidal mode and mostly the idea that managed to get me out, sort of, was to realize I have nothing left to lose and can just gamble my life away. This coupled with hearing the idea that imagination creates reality allowed me to feel like, as crazy as the idea may sound, it's worth a try and maybe, just maybe, the depression was a blessing.

@Nikulas - When IQ itself gets out of the Vortex, certain kinds of people seem to pop up. And when it gets itself back in again, other kinds of people seem to pop up :)

If you want to destroy your body,it is not the answer,you probably feel lost and do not know what to do.Aa good thing that you could do is find a peacefull place that you will go there each day,sit and wait for God to tell you what he wants.

Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
