In @Tommy106 wonderful answer to Why am I dreaming so much of my deceased cat? He(?)talks about a cat that found him. I have relatives that have had dogs that have found them and became very special part of their lives.

Yes, cats dogs, horses, in fact all living things that we love, including humans, plants and even "non living" objects, have senses, have vibrations, they can detect whether we like them or not, whether we are in harmony with their vibrations ... we always feel good when we feel in harmony and accepted and there is no greater proof of being accepted than being pleasantly and sincerely approached ... we experience this every time we instinctively like someone, something, some stray pet.
Personally, I think cats are either dumb or have total memory loss periods after a few days. My roommate has a cat, and I hate it. I used to like it at start. But that's the thing I hate about love - the betrayal. I learned soon enough she only cared for herself. She came to cuddle only when she wanted. She only takes, never gives back. If she doesn't feel like cuddling, she'll go away. So one day I simply rejected her in all possible ways. She still keeps coming back, but I care no more...

...and I'm pretty straight forward so I know that two selfish kinds can't get along. I'm pretty selfish, the cat is too. But now she just annoys me, leaves fur everywhere, enters my room, noise into my food, scratches my door at 3am. How in the world do I make her leave me alone. Like ignore me forever.

One more thing, honestly speaking, I think people get pets to substitute for things they can't get from other people. Pets just seem more accessible and easier to work with.

@Calonlan you said that you are selfish your self so the cat miroir what you are.Why can you not accept it since it is like you? At less the cat is trying to be in harmony with you.Who is the most selfish?And the cat is like your roommate and you have problem with love and betrayal.And yet you all live together,being in harmony would be better then being selfish and hating each other,why betray your self and other like this?

@ele, because I recognize how full of bs I'm. I used to think I'm honest when I could see bs in them, but not in me. Now honesty is like a laser piercing through all things, me included. I can see all the delusions and lies in me and how I build on them image we then present and play to the world. When I talk, I know why I say the words I say, all the reasons behind the way I act. Subconscious is an open book. Everyone is looking for "the real" self. Something to grasp, something to fall back..

...to when fallacy of others things we used to think were real become apparent. The truth is sum of all lies. I have nothing to trust, nothing to grasp. All is perception, perception can change like wind, because they are based on delusional way of seeing the world. Yet, while lies in their nature, they are real too. It's a real delusion. Thus in other words, I could say, I can only trust in lies, fake identities, illusions.

Bonding with animals is perfectly natural and goes back many tens of thousands of years, but when an animal finds us, we feel needed as well, and responsible in a way that we don't with others. As humans, we sometimes crave that feeling of being needed, being loved, being appreciated, and having "rescued" another. This is "Hollie", our rescued dog who found us. We usually have Labradors, so she is something different. She was already elderly when she came to us and has scars from her abuse both on the inside and the outside. But she is prankster, smart, and a good listener. She has overcome her fears and put her past behind her. We love her and so do our other dogs! |

@ursixx - great question.., loved it., when my grandpa was ill, I asked our dear Wade and Jai for reiki healing n u know what they told that my grandpa is guided by his pet dog. he literally sends him lots of healing positive energy.see..how big parts pets can play..in our lives.. @supergirl ..too sweet of a story to be a comment thanks for sharing!
