I've received a job offer I don't want
I've NOT practiced LOA to end up in a cubicle. I've received a job offer I don't want. Why do I not want it? It's the opposite of what I've asked from The Universe. Laughter...

I know that's a weird response, but I've turned over a new leaf in my life. The company was worried I'd be unhappy (based on my profile... not my attitude), but I've got inside information they're just going to hire me. My family is effected by poverty, so THERE'S NO CHOICE.

I'm forced to take the interview, and I've been assured I'll get the job. My simple-artistic-lifestyle is my wish from the Universe - and I'm getting the opposite. I wasn't sarcastic or dwelling the negative.

My peers have been trying to manifest this perhaps their chattering has prevailed. Damn! It seems stupid to have these feelings, but I've worked hard to move beyond this challenge and resent this opportunity.

My Question
Can I reject what The Universe has offered?

Summary
I feel sold out by The Universe. The job goes against my values and freedom. I'd like an other option.

Tell me more about this simple artistic lifestyle.

my comment below is no way meant as an insult or suggestion that you are lazy, only a suggestion that the lack of acting on the things u want to do could be a possibility. This is all. I do not know u well from this group yet, but i do not judge others, and i do look forward to connecting in the future. LOVE

alicianfields, you have a will and free choice and live only a day at a time

(03 Apr '13, 07:22) fred

@TReb Bor yit-NE @Catherine @flowsurfer @fred I think understanding the limitations of LOA is just as important as thinking big. My enemy is not laziness.

I'm skeptical of both entitlement and ambition. I'm angry at myself for my lack of vocational-preparation, leaving me in a compromising situation.

(03 Apr '13, 17:10) AlicianFields

@AlicianFields Great, so now that we got that covered, tell me more about this simple artistic lifestyle you want.

(03 Apr '13, 17:13) flowsurfer

I've raised the bar on what I'm doing in art...I'm excited! I'd do vocational work 20-30hrs a week, and spend the remaining time doing art. Riches in the arts is posible, but demanding that of The Universe has repeatedly jeopardised what I'm after. A life/work balance.

(03 Apr '13, 17:53) AlicianFields

@flowsurfer Besides art, my best job is unloading trucks. I may never be bluecollar, but it makes me proud.

This looks like the same kind of thing that happened to me. I experienced what I considered to be a "Vibrational Mis-Match", until @Liam explained. It was basically that I had activated the entire subject in my life, and was seeing vibrational matches that I could label "good" or "bad", as I pleased:

http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/53804/what-could-it-mean-to-see-a-vibrational-mis-match#sthash.ow05FjHV.dpuf

I see no reason for you to settle for doing something you hate. It seems to me, you are in exactly the same spot you were in on the day before you got the offer. Don't be discouraged! This could actually be a very good sign. :)

It is what we act upon. This is one of the LEAST spoken about ideals in the LOA. A friend tells Treb this.

Treb, I am unhappy. I am in a relationship that is long distance. She is stuck in a job she doesn't like. I can not find work. I want her in my life. We can not work this out until she pays off her bills, and or till I can get a job and make myself more happy financially to pay them for her. She lost her dream job as a past life regressionist because she had to move. I can not move her in because of these things but the only way we can be happy is to be together physically. I feel I can not manifest what I want. After Dec 21st I thought it would be easier to make this work. Why is it not working.

TReb said " well you are living in a 3rd density existence. You say I can not act upon what I love for so many reason. You say she must pay her bills, I can not pay them for her so she can, you say that you are limited in so many ways. The only thing that has limited you is your actions. If you act on what you love, if you step in the direction of what makes you happy, if you IGNORE the " 3rd density mindset, you WILL experience the 4th density lifestyle. When you ignore what you love and make excuses about why you can not act on them, it is the inflamed ego moving you back into the existance that you do not wish. Fear and lack of action will always result in these circumstances you say you do not wish to do. "

My addition is that we do not have to accept mediocrity. The love of living in the moment is what opens the doors, NO EXPECTATIONS, NO LIVING IN WORRY OF THE FUTURE OR REGRET OF THE PAST, and hopefully this added to above statements. I do not know if this applies to you, but I hope it helped.

Love and light

How can i reject what the universe is offering?

People do it all the time; by not being aware, by refusing or ignoring that little inner voice that urges us to do things, by lazing and staying inactive, others are disabled by anxiety and depression, by negative thoughts.

If you receive the opposite of what you asked it means your attention is centered on the opposite of what you want, and the universe laughs ... haha

Everyone's focused on HOW this or that. Because everyone's oblivious to WHY they what that and this.

Rarely people question their wants and desires. You say dreams don't come true because people are ignorant, lazy and inactive. But all dreams' essence for one to become ignorant, lazy and inactive. Funny, isn't it. ;)

(03 Apr '13, 06:08) CalonLan

dreams eventually always come true, there's the easy way by following our inner guide, the spiral upwards and there's the hard way, the spiral downwards, both lead to the same place. those that live without dreams stay in a state of oblivion

Sometimes, the Universe (God) offers us more than one choice.

What then???

Robert Frost, the poet, addressed this issue in his poem, "THE ROAD NOT TAKEN".

I quote it here:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both And

be one traveler, long I stood And

looked down one as far as I could To

where it bent in the undergrowth;<p

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim

Because it was grassy and wanted wear,

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay In

leaves no step had trodden black. Oh,

I marked the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way I

doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two

roads diverged in a wood, and I, I

took the one less traveled by, And

that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

We are often faced with more than one choice, as has been said here already. One choice may seem to be a dead end, while the other seems impossible. We have to look at this from God's perspective, and not our own. If we take what seems to be the dead end, we may at time walk in darkness, but then see the PLAN of God up ahead, and know that we did the right thing after all. For example, you say you do not want to work in a cubicle. But who will you meet in the office? What promotions lie ahead for you? What perhaps is God planning here? Have you thought of this?

The other road seems more attractive, but does not pay the bills, does it? But here again, if we take that Road, perhaps offers will line up as if by magic, because we are aligning with God, with the Universe, if you will. I have such a choice ahead of me. I could write my book and do my art, or I could take up SNHU and finish my degree. Oh, what do I do? One is a pretty straight-forward path, but the other may reap benefits I cannot see right now.

So, yes, when the Universe offers us more than one choice, we have to reject one or the other or more!

Blessings,

Jaianniah

Reflecting
In regards to "being good at this opportunity or liking it" is besides the point. I'm angry my choice can be eliminated. My apology for the self-sympathetic tone, but I'm disappointed the choice is gone!

Manifesting For The Moment
I probaly can't reject what The Universe has offered. "The Universe is reflecting my own negativity and sarcasm." What I can do is start manifesting differently.

I never had a plan for the moment. I've been too focused on sweeping victories rather than the manifestation of my lifestyle. Spiritually, I've considered - "attracting only jobs that have a good atmosphere (hip, casual, non-stressful)." These are my wishes - NOT the wishes someone else should have for a job.

I want to be successful in art, and The Universe knows that. I need manifest-for-the-moment. If I'm creating a lifestyle of huge victories and defeats, I'll always lose. My lifestyle needs to be a shield as much as my accomplishments.

How will the interview go?
I don't think I'll be stuck there, but I'd go as far as enrolling in vocational school to get out, if it comes to that. Even the recruiter wondered if I'd be happy in a corporate environment. Laughter!

Wow, that sounds like a good job. A job that someone wants you to use your mind. For me it seems all I'll get is manual labor.

It just shows no one likes his/her job, it is just a necessity we have to put up with to pay the bills.

Unfortunately this last all life long.

(03 Apr '13, 12:38) Wade Casaldi

@Wade That is not true.

(03 Apr '13, 14:04) flowsurfer

@flowsurfer What is not true? Most people I know don't like their jobs. It pays the bills is what you hear people say.

Do you think my brother actually likes being a garbage man?

(03 Apr '13, 15:16) Wade Casaldi

@Wade There are people who like their jobs. There are people who don't like jobs and don't have to put up with it to pay the bills. And there are people who put up with it for a good part of their life but then retire; it doesn't last all life long.

(03 Apr '13, 17:10) flowsurfer

@Wade What kind of work would you like to do for a living? If none, what would you like to spend most of your time doing once you are rich?

(03 Apr '13, 17:24) flowsurfer

@flowsurfer- I'll bet you a million dollars that if Wade was rich, he'd be doing exactly what he does now- spending all his time answering questions on IQ!!! LOL! (Just joshing here...I hope not!) Love, jai

(03 Apr '13, 19:29) Jaianniah

Rich is a mind set :-) I used to work in the butcher dept of a supermarket and customers were surprised to find me humming away as I did this job , that to them had no appeal at all , yet I got a lot of satisfaction from making sure the product was presented in the best display possible . Also worked in dog kennels , some people are repulsed by the idea of "cleaning up " after our furry friends , but there were rich rewards that came with that job :-)

(03 Apr '13, 20:10) Starlight

@Starlight You are rich when you feel you have a choice between doing the job and not doing the job. More accurately, when you do the job for its rewards instead of to avoid the punishment of not doing it.

(03 Apr '13, 20:56) flowsurfer

@Wade Now I see your problem. As soon as you get rich, @Jaianniah rushes to gamble all the money away on the internet!

(03 Apr '13, 21:00) flowsurfer
1

@flowsurfer- Problem is, I don't gamble. Makes no sense. I'd just as soon drive down I-80 and throw a $1 bill out the window every mile....But thanks for the laugh....Jai

(03 Apr '13, 21:40) Jaianniah

@flowsurfer Like you I don't know either. I just said a prayer to God to provide me with whatever job he chooses for whatever pay he chooses.

At least it is a pay check I guess.

(04 Apr '13, 02:34) Wade Casaldi

@Jaianniah Please help Wade dream about something.
