I am getting intensive chiropractic care, and, as a result, am releasing "old" and "stored" feelings from my body which are called body memories. I know our EFT friends will be very interested in this idea- I am sure this concept will not surprise a Tapper! :)

As crippled up as I seem to be, sure enough, old feelings and even memories are coming to the surface because of my adjustments.

Have you experienced these "memories"? Would you please share your thoughts on this with the IQ community?

Thanks,

Jai

@Jaianniah Would these be the same memories as an amputee has? Like an amputated foot that itches or has pain a so called phantom limb http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantom_limb

No, @ursixx- These are memories stored up in the body itself- often of abuse or injury...When the energy starts to flow to an area again, it will release these "body" memories- often as PTSD....Thankxx! jai

Jaianniah, I can empathize with you on this, I have similar experiences... WAY too much past trauma, the body stores it until it can safely process the events.. If there are too many events, the body will force you to "look" at the experience, I will sometimes just feel terrified or hurt for no particular reason. Rationally I can understand that this is an event from the past that I have not been able to "heal" yet.

It usually takes the right peaceful environment and circumstances to do so. Just like any physical injury, it needs the proper care and rest and no further injuries to that location in order to correct the injury. Mine will get so bad sometimes that I actually have physical tremmors... Really weird, but uncontrollable.. I hope this information is helpful. Lynda :)

Indeed, @Dragonflybreeze! It is very confusing and terrifying...sometimes...but a relief once it is processed. Thanks! Jai

Oh, and time...... You did'nt get this way overnight and it will take some time with the proper nurturing to fix it. You will know what you need.....

Jaianniah, Yes, they are also sometimes referred to as Cellular memories... Even if you can not at the moment cognitively remember an event, your body still stores it. It is important to have the cognitive memory intact as when the Cellular (body) memory surfaces... it can be difficult to process the information or feelings that one might be experiencing. One can direct themself through the experience much easier if you can remember the event that triggered those feelings. Often, if the cognitive memory is not intact, the cellular memory can resurface many times with certain triggers. I hope you are well..

Yes, emotional memories are stored in our cells. According to Dr. John E. Sarno most pain is caused by emotional or psychological issues. According to Dr. Masaru Emoto's research, water stores emotions. It is reasonable that since we are mostly water, that water would store memories.

I have been to the chiropractor, massage, physical therapy, etc... I have had times where I would have an emotional release and cry. They practitioner would tell me that it's normal, that something stored was released, and that it happens all the time. I would even get a memory, not jus the emotion.

Hiya, @Fairy Princess....Thanks so much for weighing in here...I wanted to bring this subject to light, and I consider you a Prime Tapper! Love, jai

Thanks Jai. I don't tap any more, but I do understand it. When it hurt my shoulders to tap, I decided that there had to be an easier way, and if not, I would come up with one. And I did. Two Hands Touching is my version. It is faster and easier than EFT.

Body memories are those energies that have been integrated into our being throughout our development as humans, as such, the whole universe is integrated into our bodies at an atomic level ... as Hubert Reeves likes to point out that earth and everything on it, including us, began as stardust ... to dust we shall return

This is the basis of where TFT (Thought Field Therapy) came from. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) evolved from TFT.

Dr. Roger Callahan, found that memories get trapped in our bodies and by disrupting the flow of those memories from the body they dissolved as problems. The fears dissolved, the pains gone, all from this tapping he found.
