Just been reading one of Stingrays posts, the one with the old and new cars. It leads me to ask this.

Do manifestations occur to people when the foots lifted of the throttle so to speak.

My biggest manifestation to date happened when i had focused on something for quite a while ( 2 years ) and then switched off from it.

To be honest the post made me think of this incident, i hadnt before realised that i had in fact stopped any affirmation and focus about a couple of months before manifestation.

Its not that i did it on purpose or that i gave up,or that i was TRYING to do it to speed up manifestation.I just sort of lost interest in the focusing.

Has anyone else had this experience and what did it lead to.

Graham

I wanted a BIG hamburger With BIG fries this summer I could taste the fries ,feel the salt on my fingers.
I knew just what I wanted.. And because I knew it was coming, then I forgot about it.Afew weeks later on a trip with the family to a car meet in Rättvik, this burger found me !alt text1
I had forgotten about it and passing this restaurant with outdoor seating there it was.
So dream it
live it
then forget it
and it will come

Is that real or a joke, how would you even eat something like that! WOW! I could imagine trying to eat it but it would be so plain since the flavors can't mix because it is too big to eat all together getting the whole thing from top to bottom.

I fully get what you're saying Graham. I think when we put the desire out there and focus our attention on it incessantly, we actually slow down the manifestation process. As in your case - when we take our attention away from it and even forget about it, we are actually letting go of need or attachment to the outcome and as a result it moves into our experience much quicker - we are no longer focused on the lack of it.

Yes, its called the Law of Detachment of which I just recently learned. This is the article I read: http://www.mindreality.com/law-of-detachment-flowing-with-god. It goes into detail as to how our dreams manifest when we detach from the outcome. Also, for those who are interested, Deepak Chopra offers some affirmations to help with detaching: http://www.chopra.com/laws/detachment

We have a saying in prayer, if we pray to God for something then worry about it we are like someone that goes to mail a letter and doesn't want to let go to drop it in the mail box. They fear it may get lost, it may lose the stamp, maybe it will get ruined in the machine, maybe the postman will drop dead while trying to deliver it and it never makes it!

You need to pray and forget about it, know it is being taken care of. God is on the ball, he has heard your prayer, it is on the way, the wheels are turning. You have nothing to worry about, forget about it already alright!

When you keep striving you will not make it, because you do not let it go to let God in control, most people have more faith in the postal system than they do in God. They will drop a letter in the box and know full well it will make it, even checks for hundreds of dollars in payment, it will make it! But for God if they pray they wonder will it be answered, should I do this or that, what will I do, I'll pray for the best and prepare for the worst. No never do that, expect the best, expect results and forget about it. It you have to follow up do not follow with worry but praise and gratitude that it is coming and God is handling it then again forget about it.

Oh this has happened to me thousands of times. At the time I forget about them (my desires), they show up. And while they were showing up, I even forgot I visualized/asked about them (my desires). Then some time later, I am like astounded. The Universe is really humorous.

Good post, just went thru it again

I would rephrase the word “give up” to some things takes longer to manifest than others. Based upon my personal experience, you may have to wait many years for a thing to manifest , or in some cases it is instant, and sometimes it is just like real magic coming to you when you least expect it!

The first house that I said I wanted manifested in one year, and the second house manifested in seven years. Personally, if I want something and I do not get it right away, I normally wait with the belief that it will manifest its' self sooner, or later, but I never “give up!”

Yep i know what you mean. "give up" was the wrong phrase to use.More of a losing interest sort of thing.Or perhaps putting on the back burner for later.

Yes! Absolutely! I describe this in this Inward Quest post! I just got the hang of releasing, and all sorts of good things are happening! Hooray!

Love to you all, Jai
