It seems that a time of transformation may be at hand... A lot of people may be asked to become leaders, considering the number of crisis situations that may be unfolding... What if YOU were asked to assume a leading role... What would want to do first?

For example: one person told me that, if they were elected leader of the world, they would pass a law that prospective parents will no longer be permitted to conceive or bear children unless/until they have been: a). trained in the basics of child culture and b). tested for inherited genetic malfunction...

Too much...?

Actually, I would refuse the position of World Leader, simple because I hate going to the dentist, and taking on the Job of a World Leader is like going to the dentist every day for a toothache!

But to answer your question: I would eliminate taxes for goods, and service, increase minimum wages, and create jobs for every able body! With everyone working, increased wages, and no goods, and service taxes, you should have a lot of positive energy floating around the world, and for sure more happy faces!

That makes it a little hard to build roads and bridges, doesn't it? :)

(04 Jan '11, 17:43) Vesuvius

The collective consciousness of humanity can always inspire road and bridge-building urges into those who are best suited to do it. http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/1571/are-morals-and-values-necessary-to-create-a-free-and-stable-society/1585#1585

Hey Stingray, what if Hitler is one of those listening to that advice? (Sorry couldn't resist it :)

(04 Jan '11, 17:57) The Traveller

Would that be before or after Time Magazine made Adolf "Man of the Year"? Oh no I hope Zuckerberg doesn't take a turn for the worse :]

@Traveller - No-one who is connected to who they really are would ever want to hurt another - only dis-empowered people feel the urge to "hurt" ( http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/2663/why-are-people-mean-to-each-other/2693#2693 )...so Hitler would probably be a peace-loving hippy with a moustache-trimming shop

(04 Jan '11, 18:24) Stingray

@Stingray. Thanks for the visual. Very good.

(04 Jan '11, 18:38) jim 10

@Stingray - Actually Hitler would probably be a worldclass painter. Apparently he was an amazing painter but was turned down by a famous Italian Art school, so I guess he decided to tap into the dark side of his genius instead.

It's like the 7th answer for the question that I'm posting right now so, by the answers given so far, I have few choices:

a) Make a funny remark to the question knowing that it would never happen in 'real life'

b) Try to answer the question as in an 'perfect society' (by the term 'perfect society' I mean a kind that every one of its citizens feels the connection to All That Is, everyone is self-responsible and there is no room for self-pity and self-importance among the citizens)

c) Not to answer this question at all

d) Answer it with the maximum of self-reflection that I possibly can at this moment as it comes to my self-development and my knowledge of the state affairs for now

Since I already started writing this the answer c) is out. So is the answer a), because even tough life for me isn't serious at all this is a serious matter to consider. I would also like not to answer as a member of a 'perfect society', simply because I don't live in one right now. I am HERE and I am ME, which means a human being, and even tough I would love to see all people being free and excited about life it won't happen for some time in the future.

So I choose the answer d) only because I really want to see this world 'work'. And one of the ways to make it work is to have self-responsible and an integrated society which works as an one arganism, as a whole.

But how can that happen right here right now? The good message for me is that I can definitly see a lot of improvement if it comes to morality choices in our world, but it still seems not enough. It still seems that as much as there are anti-war movements the number of wars in the world tops them each time. The more of the fight we put in preserving our enviroment the more trees are being cut down in Amazonia. So when enough is enough? What do we have to do as a society to make it to a 'perfect society' from where we are now. Let's look at things like: health, taxes, entertainment, education, family life and everything else that might unfold while I'll be writing all of this down.

First of all let me answer the question above for myself which is

'What would you want to do first, if you were elected leader of the world?'

I mean what kind of a leader would I be? Would I be like God, which means that I have the final decision about EVERY manner that goes on in the world? Would I be the final authority on all things final? If so, who would elect me? Would I be elected in a democratic election, meaning that I could win with 51% of the votes? If so, what about the remaining 49%? How could I rule them if they don't want to be ruled by me?

Those are more od philosophic questions but still they are what I would consider if I would be brought to such an amazing prospect. I think that people who should be leaders of societies, nations and so forth should be people of the HIGHEST moral and spiritual nature. They should also be intelectually able to fulfill such a responsible and amazing task. They should not be afraid of making tough decisions, and yet be far-seeing into the longterm consequences of their decisions.

They should have experiences from many walks of life, meaning that the best possible 'theme' if you could call it that in their life would be a story 'form rags to riches', which means that they hit the bottom at one point in there life and they have managed to change failure into success, gaining invaluable insights and experiences of life which will enable them to 'see into' the possibility of their decisions affecting ALL members of the society and not only those of his current social status.

That means that people who are poor and always have been and don't feel that it was there personal choices that led them to this situation, no matter if from agreements made in this life or life before physical incarnation, and still are blaiming other beings and circumstances in their life for being 'not fair' too them or simply feeling self-pity should not be let to make decisions for others in the society. The danger is that they could abuse their power to make their own private life better on the expense of the whole society, meaning defrauding money or influences or what have you.

They could also try too have vengance on people from higher class, wealthy class, who he might think still 'owe him something' or that they all or some of them made theur fortunes in a manner that wasn't all too far and now feeling that they can 'punish them' by making their life harder.

Controlling and managing the upper class is and should always be in the power and interest of the governing body but never made from a view point of 'you owe us something' or 'we will make your life harder until you give up and fail'. Those people should be put before judges and tribunals and trialed according to the crimes they've commited, still the judges having been aquipped with the Spirit of Compassion and tested and trained in ability to recognize that we all come from One Creator and Source and that the sinners will be punished, in this life or the other.

Another group of people who should be strongly considered would be those 'born-into wealthy families, who never were deprived of material goods in their lifes. Those individuals more often than not tend to be self-centered and self-important. They usually fail to recognize the struggles and toils of the 'everymen'. If they are not given proper attention and proper moral and loving upbringing they may very well grow up to be abusers of power, those who find controlling other peoples life fun and unharmful.

Since our current laws and courts have given time and time again many examples that some people can be 'more equal' to the law then others, it might leave those individuals with a feeling of being 'above law', which further 'above God' and there moral responsibilities.

Those individuals are dangerous but it doesn't mean that a person brought up in a home that's loving, compassionate and truth-embracing won't grow up to live like that. In fact, those individuals with substantial fortunes tend to be most generous and most helpful to those in need, yet thay are the product of their upbringing and that leaves a lot of responsobility for the parents of those individuals.

Parents should be trained from being a child to becoming a parent. They should be taught universal truths and set of values that will enable their children to believe and ultimately to know that - Their is one God, The Creator and the Ultimate parent who loes all his children equally and who is always their to make the hardships of life seem less stresfull.

Those parents should be taught that life isn't a struggle but a challenge. They should be shown, by various means, how you can transmutes hardships into full-fledged insights and life experiences which will help them understand more fully all of the circumstances of their life and why they might'ev chosen them.

They would also be taught about responsobility for their actions. They would be shown how every action we make manifests in our physical enviroment. They would be taught about that in schools as well as at homes, and when they would be ready to become parents they would be ready to teach the same things to their children.

The education system as it is now doesn't work. It teaches information that has or has always been obsolete or untrue. Even the Earths history has been written differently in accordance by whom it was written.

Those who write history books should be troughoutfully checked and tested for their ability to be objective and truth-driven. They should not be a class of people trying to build their self-esteem on how many books thay might write or how popular they are.

The teachers in schools should be the ones that really feel the calling to be teachers for others. They would how to show their passion and dedication in the field that they are teaching. They would also have to be open to new ideas and new theories that are not their own. In fact, they should be eager and willing to try and apply any theory that might be contradictory to their actual beliefs, but sounds plausible and has some 'grain of truth' in it.

If they are too stubborn or too self-centered to acknowledge that they are not all-knowing creatures, because only God is, they should not be let to minister and teach our prodginy.

As well as administrarion of the school goes it is the same as for the goverment - people who are the most moral, intelectual and spiritual should the ones in charge of organizing them and they should embrace free-forms of learning like learning through fun and joy.

Schools should teach ways of communicating and understanding the world, not just dry facts about it. Children should know and should be visually stimulated to experience by themselves, that if a plant grows it's because it has perfect conditions for it. Water, sun, soil, air - they are all essential to their growth.

They should also be shown what happens if only one ingredient would be removed from the equation - either the plant would never grow at all or it would suffer its immediate death.

And this metaphor should be used to stimulate young minds and to show them that they are like plants and that by working with the enviroment and taking all the elements of the equation called life, they can achieve more blissful and more full view of their physical sojourn.

Children should also be taught about the role of religion in their life, but religion different from what has been known as religion for thousands of years.

The knew definition of religion would be - the direct experience of the love of God, the Universal Father.

There would not have to be any churches built to accomplish this task. Kids would be taught that they have contact and they live in Divine ministry with there Father ALL THE TIME. They would be taught techniques like meditation and others to have recognize those experiences in their daily life.

Later on they would be taught philosophy which will enable their young minds to translate those experiences into insights and really become full-grown members into the Corps of Knowing the True and Only God, our Father, who is all loving and all embracing.

But they would also be taught in previous history of the world. They would be shown how many misdeeds have man done before in his evolution and that are the hurt and wrong in the world was because man refused the Natural Law of the Universal Father. Kids would know that but they would also be shown the great mercy of the Father for the blindess of his creations, man, was also able to 'find Him'.

And that makes this creature called 'man' all so precious and special, because he had been in the dark and he is in the light.

Entertainment would also reflect the recognition of the Universal Father and values of love and peace in our lifes. It would because it would be created by more and more conscious beings that are not afraid of true worship and true recognition of their nature.

They would not make the same mystake as the one called Buddha, who was truly a prophet and truly a beautiful being, who has led many beings into the doors of the Father, but failed to recognize Him as the true causation of existence and because of that was not the true liberator of man. And man couldn't have been liberated until a time of one called Jesus Christ, which proved by living his life and his death on the cross, that true freedom and true liberatio comes from surrendering to the will of God, the First Source and Center.

ANd from this everything would sprang - the health system would go toward natural teraphies, promoting healthy lifestiels. We would be encouraged and rewarded for keeping our minds, bodies and spirits healthy and clean. It's happening all around us, just open your eyes.

The news would be focusing equally on bad and good news. Reporters would have a moral obligation to bring and show forward news from the most objective view point available to them. They would track the source of the news and try to provide with some answers how it could have been avoided or how it could bring even more benefit to the whole.

'Being' would become the most valuable asset. We would recognize the worth of someone by his actions, not words. Banter system would come into play once again. You would be able to trade services and resources not having to put money out. Many people, including me, are doing this right now and it is working.

It would show many people that their really is enough to go around for everybody and that we are all supported all the time.

We would slowly go from worshipping material things into enjoying them without being necessarly owned by them. Our culture would change in its heroes -- not glorifying outlaws but pure intentions, big hearts, inspired deeds.

We would show our children that what is the most rewarding thing to do in life is to bring and show others to the realization of existence and religious experience of Universal Father, of His love and care over his lowest possible creation that can recognize and worsip him.

True worship is leaving your selfish needs and trying to recognize and do the 'will of God', and feel the most fulfilled you have ever had.

So how can that happen? How can we find those people who think, feel and act like I have just wrote?

We have to BE those people ourselves. We have to be our own leaders and our own governors of our lives. We have to find our destiny and live it. And through 'walking the talk' we will all let others to follow in our footsteps and day by day, one step at a time, one politician at a time, one health reform at a time, one new school at a time, we will manifest the 'perfect society' and the 'perfect world'.

I am the leader of the world - I am the leader of MY world. And knowing that I take full responsibility for my creation. I know that I have the power to change coal into diamond and that I am here to do the 'will of my Father' and I'm proud of it!

I wholehearted believe that more people should try to understand this powerful and compelling philosophy -- especially the part about the better ways to raise children... This world sorely needs to make a bigger commitment to raising stronger children... This philosophy is the way.

I would pull all funding for military stuff and make sure everyone's basic needs were met.

After giving this question more thought. I would change a few other things. For example, I would make free energy machines available for everyone. I would make water powered vehicles available for everyone. I would teach people about their true nature and how to heal themselves, so pharmaseuticals would be a last resort. I would restructure the federal reserve so they would be motivated by what's best for the economy verses their own profits. Oh, and I would cut funding for cancer research cause we have already found the cure. Check out the documentary Thrive for more ideas.

I would give myself a good pension and golden handshake deal... then i would quit.

I believe there too much power in such a position.

Im against the EU having a president to be honest. Power should be held at more grass roots level. I would go as far as to down grade national government power and upgrade council/state powers .

The further the power gets from the common man the more it tends to get abused.

All children would have a roof over their heads and a plate of food. There will be no such thing as a street child. Any goverment whose country has street children should ba ashamed of themselves.

The people shall be directy responsible for all homeless children. Yes I would be hated for increasing taxes but if that protects all homeless children than it would be worth it and I will bear that hatred with pride.

we are the leader every one of us are equal and each as something to bring in truth and love. i am not a divider am i? why should we make some one leader so that the power corrupt him and we fall in our mistake. we are all leader and servant all are equal.

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

http://bible.cc/isaiah/11-6.htm

The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD.

In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the creatures that move along the ground. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety.
