Is it ok to try this exercise more then once a day? Also how do you know if you are ready to move to chapter 2?

44.. Now make the application: Select a room where you can be alone and undisturbed; sit erect, comfortably, but do not lounge; let your thoughts roam where they will but be perfectly still for from fifteen minutes to half an hour; continue this for three or four days or for a week until you secure full control of your physical being.

Have you taken the time to go through the book and to get acquainted with the material in the book, before you started to read it? If you have done so as yet, it would be a good idea for you to do so!

As I can recall you have to do the exercises for one week before you move onto the next chapter, and I see no harm in you doing the exercise twice a day. You should read the instruction in the book as to how to study the book, and how to do the exercises. Also keep in mind it is the kind of book that you can read, and re-read as many times as you like.

I have only just started reading the book myself and do struggle a bit with the wording of it. But I have looked at what the exercises are at the end of several chapters and basically he is teaching you how to meditate or visualize in order to open up your imagination and intuition while relaxing and doing so in a very methodical, piece-by- piece way.

Personally, I believe this is the true secret and it will not hurt for you to do any of the practices more than once a day if you are able and certainly if you are not able to find 15-30 minutes of completely uninterrupted time, break it down into smaller chunks of time. You will still see the benefits and changes from it.

Yes you can do the exercise more than once a day if that is what you wish for practise makes perfect and you are ready to move on to the next one when you feel comortable sitting in a meditative state for 15 to 30 minutes.
