The Chakras are the Spiritual Energy centers of the body, located all along the central meridian (the spine). The Heart Chakra is represented in the diagram below where the green circle is located.

My Heart Chakra has been feeling odd for a while, as I said. The only way to describe it is to say it feels shredded or in pieces. It almost feels torn into bits... I cannot explain it any better. I am a Reiki Healer, and have done everything I can to help myself, with no luck.

I'd like your ideas about why it would feel this way when things are going so good in my life. It just does not make any sense. Could it be some buried grief...or something I have overlooked? Please help with your thoughts on this. Have you ever felt this way?

Due to some issues I have been having with my heart (including that "shredded" feeling), I underwent an echocardial stress test. Guess what they found?

A hole in my heart....It has been undetected for my whole life. It is very interesting to me that my body was trying to tell me that something was wrong, and when i listened, the answer was revealed.

The moral is this: If you get a "gut" feeling (pardon the bad pun) about your body, act on it. You never know what may be revealed to you!

Love you all,

This is interesting from another aspect Jai , I know that when people have emotional issues they can overeat to fill the "hole " and therein create a weight problem . I'm wondering what has from your perspective being "missing " thereby creating a hole in your love centre . This is written only from an observer viewpoint and I don't expect an answer , just opening a thought you may like to look at ♥♥♥ :-)

@starlight-what has been missing??? I think validation that I am a good person. I am just seeing that now. Your comment is very astute. BTW, the hole is a birth defect, so perhaps it is a very old issue, eh? <3 Jai

@Jai , if you are me and I am you and I know I am a good person , then here's your validation . I suspect given some of the "stuff " ( I love that word , endless apllications ) I have read about you and your folks/family is where the missing "piece " is , yes ? I had a mum , whom others thought didnt treat me so well , yet it wasn't evident to me , I loved her unconditionally ....

Parenting skills aren't automatic and I know I made mistakes bringing up my children too , I am sure my mum loved me in her own way . I once asked her why I had never seen her cry , she told me she was brought up not to show emotions , that speaks volumes to me .I hope this may help you in some small way Jai, you are loved , I see you in the mirror every day and acknowledge you xxxx

@Starlight-Thank You...♥♥♥!

Hi Jai,

You know that all know about chakras I learned from you and a few other folks on IQ, so I knew I wasn't going to have your answer, but I did have a thought I'd like to share.

I recognized that feeling when you said that things are going so good in your life, why would you feel this - perhaps buried grief? I have been there Jai, and I am thinking, could that feeling be fear? Could it be that you may be just a little afraid to be so happy? Like there must be some darkness you need to prepare yourself for, that you just can't quite get yourself to relax and enjoy all your blessings, just in case...

I don't know, but I can tell you that I still absolutely believe in true love. I still believe in til death do us part, in home sweet home, and in happily ever after. I believe in all those things with all my heart for me, and I believe them for you.

So I would just say, maybe if you were to loosen up your grip on things, just a little, you may feel better. Look closely at that feeling, untie the knots inside, and let it all go.

Your dreams have come true - relax, live them to the full, enjoy them. Breathe deep, spread your wings, and let it go. You have no more need to be "waiting to exhale". :)

Thank you, @Paulina 1. You seem to have such a fine sense of when people need to be touched by your sweet spirit of encouragement. I wonder if you know how good you are at it, or how excellent your timing. It's like having a butterfly come down and alight on your arm for a moment, coax out a smile, and flutter off again. Beautiful. Thank you.

I can relate to this Jai and have wondered at times why it happens. I feel that you are such a giving person by the responses you give and also giving out so much in being a Reiki Healer. So much nurturing goes out from you...maybe there needs to be a bit more coming towards you. Reminds me of the song "What about Me..." Am sending love & light across the seas to you and hope that your Heart Chakra will soon be replenished.

@Tisca- Thank you for the lovely answer! This never even crossed my mind. I have to think about it...

(18 Oct '12, 20:30) Jaianniah

@Jaianniah I was taught in all my Reiki training to do 15mins maintenance on self each day , I also know as a healer that we tend to forget about Reiki for ourselves ♥♥♥

@Starlight- Right you are, Star! I've been so busy, I had forgotten that. Thanks.

Dear Jai,

Yes I have been there on more than one occasion and guess what? It wasnt mine, I was picking up on someone else whose heart felt that way. The moment I discovered who it was the feeling left as if by magic.

All of us healers are to a certain extent psychic and we are all empaths. That means that more often than not we sometimes feel others pain and suffering. It is a most unplesent feeling for it feels as if it your own.

Physical pain of others I can handle but i dont like to feel their emotions for sometimes if you pick up on someone that is having big problems you think they are your own and actualy act on them which at times can be disasterous.

Do yourself a favour Jai and ask your self "whose stuff is this". Did you maybe do healing on someone that was heartbroken or that actualy suffers from a bad heart? If yes than that could be your answer. Sometimes we don't find out but you have to learn how to deal with it.

After every healing session do cleansing exercises as well as cord cutting for good measure. When you pray ask that only that which belongs to you can stay everyone elses stuff must go.

There is a book called "Whose stuff is this" and it will give you many answers on how to deal with this for each person has their own preference.

I would also suget you see a doctor just to be on the safe side.

Please let us know how you get along.
