What if purpose of life is its own happening? Then one will never die.

(11 Jan '13, 02:30) CalonLan

@calonLan- yup..true., bt the life purpose is always lik.."doing something good fr others / discovering something etc..etc..

@supergirl What is Life? Everything that is, has a soul.(this is the fifth element) It is this soul that learns through the body. In animals there are souls.Lesser developed than man. They are learning life. Life purpose is to enrich the soul with experience. You have natural talents and instincts that are different from others around you. These instincts are expressing the soul's desire. When we make a mistake, soul learns something from it. Your life purpose is where your soul wants you to be.

@supergirl When the soul completes its learning, it ascends in to the body. This is Enlightenment. Now you can make a decision whether to stay in this world and help others to end suffering (A Bodhisattva) or you can go back to God (Kingdom of God or Nirvana). And dissolve in to the infinite....

"The destiny of man is in his own soul." Herodotus

@supergirl, because there are always people that say such things.

What people long for, is opposite of who they are. Purpose is false, it's a delusional construct to keep yourself on 'track'. Just like your character. And more you are afraid of living, the greater character, the greater purpose, the greater holiness you will long for. People who truly live their lives, don't need a purpose, don't need no character, no holiness. People lock themselves in illusory prison, or the real one...

(11 Jan '13, 03:11) CalonLan

...like monastery, only to run away from themselves. People want to be pious, because they are afraid of the sins within them. They try to be good, because they know they are afraid of their bad part. Scared of going to hell, scared of dying, fear. And fear alone rules the vast lands and turns living to dead. People try to be happy, because they are sad, nice because they feel ugly. Embrace them both and you won't need no purpose for goodness, kindness, piety. You will just be. Whole, undivided.

As per my knowledge, it's up to us to decide what we wish to do. We can choose to transition to non-physical reality or stay around for as long as we wish or explore some other theme.

You are welcome.

I have to think of life purpose as similar to work around the house. You build a cabinet, now you can relax a bit and admire it, even tell everyone, "I built that." But after a while you are going to say, "You know I am tired of theses closets being so dark you can't see what shirt you want! I am going to put up some lights in the closets!" Now you are right back to work again until that task is completed. Then you are happy you have completed your mission but wait next you notice your kitchen table has a wobbly leg that needs repaired.

I seriously think our life purpose is like that. We could hang around in Heaven admiring our work only so long until we feel like we need to fix something else. Next thing we know is we have been given a new life purpose to fulfill.

I think it's actually like playing different games rather than fixing something.

Hum "different games" sound so much more appealing than thinking of life as never ending work that needs you.

I think super girl is referring to the part of the tenth insight that says remember your birth vision. That is supposedly why we came here. To correct or finish some birth vision our soul groups had for us.

(11 Jan '13, 16:08) Wade Casaldi

Ah...the tenth insight, of course. Many thanks Wade......whats the tenth insight?

it is when we can learn no more
that we gracefully leave the material realm
unless we are taken short by reciprocating karma

we retire for a rest and to digest what our
most recent life experiences taught us
and if we did not get it right

we return sooner than most
