I became an Atheist at a young age and I do not believe in religion whatsoever. But for the last 2 years when I walk especially around hospitals or I see people with physical problems or I see people in need I feel like there are these wings attached to me but they are Ethereal and not real whatsoever.

My 1st experience when I felt these things 1 wing popped out 1st then the other and they were covered in dust or some dark substance like black wings then I snapped them open and the dust fell off to reveal these white wings. It freaked me out because I truly don't believe in this stuff whatsoever but I truly and honestly felt them.

I looked around quickly to make sure that no-one saw them like psychics or people like that and I felt totally weirded out. Now everytime I walk and my feet touches the grass they automatically pop out.

I get this strange beautiful sensation that surrounds my whole body like I can heal people or help people in someway or that I was some kind of powerful warrior but with a soft heart. I get the feeling that I may have been some kind of a fallen angel who rebelled big time and sometimes I feel like It's time for me to come Home and that I may be forgiven or something but It's like I'm suppose to do something here 1st.

It's messed up and I can't make any sense of it whatsoever. But my Heart feels something beautiful and wonderful everytime these so called invisible wings pop out.

What the heck is going on with me I am an Atheist and I'm not suppose to believe in such nonsense. What is my next step? Should I meditate or something? I am totally confused!!!

I have been in the process of growing wings for years! Congratulations, you are an Earth Angel! You are an angel who came down to earth to help humanity. There are books on Earth Angels. There are actually quite a few Earth Angels. I'm in Matt Kahn's Angel Academy and Doreen Virtue wrote a book on them.

What do you do? There are no requirements for Earth Angels. Just like there are no requirements for being a human. You do what you feel called to do. Naturally by just how you interact with others you will help heal the planet. Yet, don't feel the need to tell everyone this secret. As an Atheist you must know how others sometimes feel about talk of God.

I'd say you are not even required to believe in God to be an Earth Angel. That you are conscious of the wings must be to open your mind to new realms outside the conventional.

Thanks Igot7 I do appreciate and respect your answer. It's a little overwhelming for me at times accepting all that has been happening to me lately but fortunately, I do have an open mind and have been fighting my rational mind while trying to make sense of it all. A big part of me agrees with you that I should have kept this secret to myself as to not expose myself like I did. I had no idea that there are others like me let alone Angel Academies which is arousing my curiosity.

@Igot7 I have been doing some meditations lately and I believe you are right I AM an Earth Angel. Now I understand why I received The Healing Orange Ball of Light. It is one of the things that I longed for so much, which is the love of healing people in need. I have re-awakened and found a guide to work with me in the higher realms. My life is quickly changing and I thank you for helping me become aware of who I truly am.

@Igot7 - I also have other gifts which I brought with me into this incarnation as I am quickly becoming aware of. During one of my meditations I came across other Earth Angels who have been here for awhile and who are going to help me. You are right there are many of us on this planet worldwide to assist Earth into a global Awakening or Shift in consciousness. If you have any links or advice for me it would be greatly appreciated.

you really are grasping on to this label that you have put on yourself being an atheist 'and all'- obviously reading all of your questions i can solve this situation for you very quickly.

you are not an atheist anymore.

that time has passed. there have been several occurrences in your life that have changed your perception of things and now you are exploring the change inside yourself, holding on to labels you have stuck to before these changes is not only slowing you down from actually understanding yourself, it also looks silly.

the very reason people are naming themselves atheists, in my opinion, is because they refuse to go with the religious stream- which has its faults i think, and they want the freedom to say that they do not agree with what society wants them to agree with, just because society wants them to and they themselves have no evidence or proof of such- but what you are doing now is quite the same, by sticking to this label of atheism you are actually doing exactly what the religious are doing- denouncing everything outside of itself and firmly staying put in their own made-up labels and not wanting anything to do with others nor acknowledging that there even is something else- dont be like that, like them- isnt that why standard religion and the church is so distant to what you know to be true? try opening your heart to all possibilities- even those that are different to what you say you are- being an atheist and all.

P.S. meditation is always a good idea.

Thank you Januaryfeelings for opening my eyes. You're absolutely right I have been using my belief system as an excuse and as a shield from truly opening up my heart mind and soul to the spiritual realm.

You could have told us about those wings without mentioning that your are an atheist. Yet, you did mention it! This is perhaps a clue to what may be going on. You are having a mystical experience, no doubt of that. But can a person have such an experience while being atheist? It is hard to believe one thing without the other- you can feel the wings, and yet they are outside normal experience. I imagine that you have heard of angels, and that maybe they have wings. I suppose that all of this is challenging your belief system. Can one be an atheist and have spiritual experiences? I don't know, but I have to call this a spiritual experience.

I believe that people have auras, which is energy surrounding the body. I use this energy when I do Reiki healings. I suppose you could go as far as to believe that the aura exists without any belief in a deity. Usually, though, people who can feel and use the aura are deists of some sort. I have never heard of someone feeling these wings without feeling also a connection to a Higher Power.

What I suggest will perhaps cause you to examine your belief system. What use would you have for feeling these wings other than for a spiritual purpose? You are not hallucinating. This feeling is real. So may be you are being led to spiritual path. That is probably pretty scary, I am sure. But try not to be too worried about it. It sounds like you are being led to an awareness of other people in need. Angels help people in need, and often surround these people to help them. I would just pay attention to when you do feel these wings, and try to make a connection to this feeling and your surroundings. If you are being led to something, try just going with it. It cannot hurt.

My spirituality has pulled me forward into some great experiences. I really have not been hurt by going with what I feel. One day, I was sitting with Wade in his bedroom at his parent's house. I suddenly felt that someone was peering over my right shoulder, and pointing to his desk. I gave into in to it, and told Wade that someone was telling me that something important that Wade needed was hidden on his desk. That desk was full of stuff, including a stack of spiral notebooks. I was directed to tell him to look in those notebooks for what he was missing. Sure enough, in the second notebook, some important documents were there. Wade had forgotten that he had put them there.

I cannot explain this experience without believing that someone outside of existence was directing me. Perhaps you are being directed, too! Just yield to it, and stay open-minded. Who knows what will come next? Good luck!

Blessings,

Jaianniah

Thanks Jaianniah for your answer in the matter at hand. I am just as confused as you are. In my youth I studied meditation and one of my Sifu's tried to open my mind to a world which has always been. I realize that the wings thingy may be symbolic and nothing more eventhough they feel so real. I do have a passion for helping others and wish that I can do more. I know that I am indeed limited but I sometimes feel like these so called wings are possibly there to help me eliminate my limited mind.

Being an atheist, but feeling a pull toward the spiritual, you may be interested in Buddhism. There are different types, some like Tibetan Buddhism believe in many Gods, but others don't believe in God at all. Check out this link.

http://www.buddhanet.net/ans73.htm

But there are many stories the Buddha did miracles like Jesus did.

God is called many things, super-consciousness, universal-consciousness, unified-field, even the Matrix.

Science has found that matter is sometimes waves, so it can be frequency or what we call matter. Using quantum physics, you could say they found the beginning. I'll get back to that momentarily, they also found their expectation or observation changed the outcome. There is an old mystery school saying, thought directs energy. Thought creates frequency, this thought could be thought of as the word of creation. So if thought directs energy and energy becomes matter then we have the beginning, all is chaotic frequency, the thought comes in and entrains this frequency into organization that becomes matter.

So we know if we are constantly affecting our environment by our thought or to use old word understanding our word, we can through directed focus affect matter as we focus and believe. If however we do not believe we will have an affect, we will not. Henry Ford said, "I believe I can, or I believe I can't, either way I'm correct." Harry Palmer said, "Everything we experience is because of what we believe, unless we believe it isn't, then it isn't, which means it is."

Now, if we look at all existence as energy and frequency, thought controls energy and frequency then it stands to reason thought is over existence. If thought is over existence then there is the being that we are that could be called the child being and the over being of pure consciousness the adult being, these could be seen as two but are really two frequencies of one existence. Sort of like you must climb the trunk of a tree to get to the branches. So if we think our selves as that which affects the universal-mind and that universal-mind affects matter, we see that we affect that which we focus on with intent and belief that will be done.

Those that were awakened like Jesus or Buddha affected reality directly, those that believed themselves separate and believed a separate higher being will answer, prayed and their prayers are answered.

The reason why, as Jesus said, it was your faith. In other words their belief that what they wanted would be done. In other words their word coupled with their belief was their focus thus affecting the higher consciousness to affect reality, and so it was answered.

We have various levels of consciousness, each affects all, we have the Unconscious sleep state also Subconscious that has beliefs and fears, the Waking Conscious, that is the fully alert, fully aware of what is around state. Now if we take that further there is the Christ consciousness and finally the God Consciousness.

Our awareness resides in whatever consciousness we happen to be using, for example while dreaming in sleep we are not even aware that the waking conscious exist let alone experiencing being it.

Those that meditate can get to those higher levels. Also another thing, what we see, hear, feel and taste are very limited band width of frequency. We can't see in the ultra-violet or the Infrared that does not mean nothing exist in those frequencies, we just can't see what is there in those frequencies. We can't see radio frequencies but we can hear them. This doesn't mean that if we had somehow eyes that could see those frequencies that there wouldn't be something to see. As a matter of fact sound frequencies can be seen as intricate patterns in sand on speakers. So this shows there is something to be seen by the affect it has.

So because you feel these wings and you saw them in your mind because you described them, if others can't see them does that mean they are not there?

@Wade Casaldi- I like your answer better than mine! This question makes me think of William James book, "The Varieties of Religious Experience". James talks about spirituality as being on a continuum from "Good Deeds" all the way to the Mystical experience of Spirit. I recommend this book to anyone wondering about how God is revealed in man. Thank you, Wade! ♥♥♥

Thank you Wade for your answer. You tickled my rational mind with quantum physics and I do appreciate it immensely. But in truth all the answers were perfect for me as I needed to see all perspectives in order to fully understand my so called dilemma at hand and to embrace viewpoints unbeknownst to me. You are clearly very educated and I was to say the least very inspired by your words of logic and the use of physics to clearly explain what is and what is not. Which IS.

(22 Jul '18, 03:48) Moonbeam

I am glad to help, I decided to approach the esoteric from a logic point to bring it closer to you for understanding what most in religion just accept on faith.
