Added as a comment to Fairy Princesses answer it has been a quote that haunts me.It might be my Roman Catholic upbringing that is hard to shake.
I don't want devils in my world. My world is full of goodness, giving, and love.
So such thoughts are absurd?

I am confused. Are you saying that the devil using channeling to dress up a lie in some truth is absurd, or the fact that we ignore that?

(15 Apr '11, 22:47) Fairy Princess

There are those that believe that there can be other sources for channeled messages and not always for our benefit. And I believe that you should scrutinize everything before you decide what is true and what is not / what feels good and what does not.

you know i will JUMP all OVER this one :-) i just want to say the devil is real. he is as real as you and I, he is given the reality BECAUSE most religions have forced the immage of him to others and given him that power. He is a manniestation of humanity. He IS us! He is the part fo us that is willing to rape, he is the part of us that is willing to hurt children, he is our greedy ways, he is the worst of us. and like the great Dr. Martin Luther King says "There is a little of bad in the best of us and a little of good in the worst of us." THIS is the devil, even in the best of us the devil IS that little part that cannot TRULY be loving and good! As for channeling (in responce to the comment ursixx refferanced ), yes there are EVIL entitys that do NOT have the best intentions and are not having our best interest in there soul. BUT there are many channelings that are OBVIOUSLY from love and light! Here is a great quote from "Seth Speaks, the Eternal Validity of the Soul" by Jane Roberts. click here to listen PLEASE LISTEN FROM THIS PART TO THE END!

love n light,

rob

Nice quote from Seth :) The Seth material is probably what got me started on being brave enough to openly question not-to-be-questioned ideas like Good and Evil, and God and Devil. Seth had a way of expressing what I was thinking much better than I could, and still does :)

(15 Apr '11, 22:26) Stingray

yes i do love his /her work and i only will listen read and watch them as channelers, after meeting my source this is teh 1st material i was led to and is very similar to what the source told me then. i have a copy of seth material and seth seaks by my chair on teh table :-) thank you!

Unfortunately, I believe that Satan is real.

It is soooo easy to deny this, to put the thought away, and live in that world of goodness and light....But I have cleared homes and people of evil, or demons (call them what you will). They were real enough, both to me and the people affected. I know that Satan would absolutely love it if we would all just look the other way. Then he could just play and romp and do his mischief without interference.

As I have said before on this site, prayer for the world is essential! After my experience seeing the Mind of God, and seeing the absolute power and destiny of our prayers, I know that prayer can and does do much good. Also, God gave Jesus complete authority over Satan, and we must all remember that Satan has already been defeated! If you keep this in mind, you have nothing to fear. Satan is an annoyance, and we can call upon Christ, God, Higher Power- whatever you choose to call your Higher Power- and command that Satan be gone, and he must go. "Fear not, for behold! I am with you!" Always remember to lean back into the arms of your Higher Power!

Many Blessings, Jaianniah

Thank you for this. What is your feelings on the channelings?

(15 Apr '11, 22:50) Fairy Princess

They seem to be genuine enough. There are so many wondrous things coming through to this world from "the other side"- I have to think that God is up to something just lately! Thanks for asking! Blessings and Love,>>>>>>>>>>>

(16 Apr '11, 00:03) Jaianniah

jaianniah, jesus is will, from spirit, and satan is material form. neither is innately evil, rather polar opposites. each of our thoughts fall somewhere on the spectrum. and when of the age of reason have the ability to choose. maybe it is what we chose to do that was off-balance

(16 Apr '11, 00:33) fred

When Fairy Princess asked about "channeling", I had not seen the above comment referring to the Devil channeling...I thought she was referring to the channeling done with Seth, for example. I just thought I should clarify this point. >>>>>>>>>

(16 Apr '11, 03:37) Jaianniah

Fred, what do you mean? Your comment is a bit confusing to me. Jai

The best trick human beings ever pulled was convincing the world the devil does exist :)

I've gone on at some length previously on IQ about G(o)od and (D)evil, probably to the point of boring everyone :)

If you want I'll pull out all my previous rantings and ravings about these concepts, and link to them here. Just let me know :)

But I think the best argument I've yet heard against the idea of Evil (which is personified by the idea of Devil) was quoted by RPuls on IQ: if God exists, why it allows evil?

And I think the argument is so good that I'm going to requote it here:

All things are good.

In relation to something that is more good it would come to a point where something is bad or evil compared to something extremely good.

Therefore it is a matter of where on the scale of good it is located.

From: if God exists, why it allows evil?

I'll add to this one of my favorite quotes concerning evil:

One may say that evil does not exist for subjective man at all, that there exist only different conceptions of good. Nobody ever does anything deliberately in the interests of evil, for the sake of evil. Everybody acts in the interests of good, as he understands it. But everybody understands it in a different way. Consequently men drown, slay, and kill one another in the interests of good.

G I Gurdjieff

If one lays aside all the emotional hype and hysteria surrounding the Devil concept, I think you are left with the straightforward notion that God and Devil really only reflect our own human judgements of Good and Evil.

God = G(o)od

(D)evil = Evil

And who decides what is Good and what is Evil?

And who decides what is the work of God and what is the work of Devil?

...We do.

Thank you Mr. Stingray. Very well put.

I have driven the devil and demons out of people possessed, I have a friend that had 2nd degree burns on his back from me healing him. Everywhere my fingers were were burned.

I have cleared peoples houses of devils and demons, one women had one that crawled around on her floor it smelled like sulfur, so to say that was only a figment of her imagination is up to you.

I have driven them out of friends homes around the world, one friend who called me in a panic and said please help her, I drove the devils out of her home and when I did as soon as I did she had a party balloon it was mylar so those are hard to pop. As soon as I cleared the home that balloon popped!

I have many stories of clearing and driving out devils, I know for me it is an easy thing as Jesus has already won the battle and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Because of this I have authority over everything evil, all sickness, all pain etc...

So for me I do not care if you want to call these physical beings or just wrong thought or whatever you may want to call them I have full command and authority over them by Jesus Christ.

@ Wade C.: Wade is that really you, I am intrigued, and can you really do distance healing?

(21 Apr '11, 04:24) Inactive User ♦♦

Yes it is me, I have done distance healing plenty of times, Jai has as well, many have actually. Distance is no barrier to God. You can Google my name. I have written articles in ezinearticles.com. I am all over Google as a matter of fact. Thank you Vee. :-)

(23 Apr '11, 06:43) Wade Casaldi

Hi, Vee- thought I would throw in my two cents- distance healing is a part of Reiki Healing, and Wade and I are both Reiki Master healers...I use the power of Jesus to clear homes, and so does Wade. I get calls from people all over the USA asking for their homes to be cleared...it really works. Unbelievable, isn't it? Thanks for your question...Blessings, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
