Ok, sorry if this question is a bit unusual, but I was wondering whether anyone had any views regarding any differences in the law of attraction and in the taking of 'inspired' action when it comes to attracting your soulmate for the different genders.

For example, in the dating world there is alot of advice about how because of the differences between the male and female energy, men should do the chasing and not the other way around -so if a woman focuses too much on or takes action towards a man she may actually chase him away instead of attracting him. If the law of attraction is a universal law then why should the above be true - if it is that is!

I wondered if anyone had thought about the law of attraction with relation to any differences in how the law can be applied or be effective in men and women.

It depends what culture one comes from for in some cultures a man must do the chasing while in others it's ok for a woman to be forward.

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” ~ Buddha

There is no right way, there's only one way and its multiple variations. Some like to chase, others like to be chased. Regardless of their gender. Or in other words, some like to win prices, others think they're the price to be won. Whatever the wording is, is of no importance. It only shows us in what terms one think of themselves and others.

The point is, nothing can become your truth, unless you believe it.

This is a really interesting question and I wish I had an answer to this!

Everyone has male and female energy in them, although men (generally) are more in touch with their masculine energy and women (generally) are more in touch with their feminine energy.

It would make sense that different methods of manifesting would be beneficial depending on how much male or female energy you have. I was reading the other day (can't remember where) that feminine energy is more magnetic and male energy is more about projecting and directing outwards. This seems to fit in with traditional gender roles in society.

I have had some success with visualisations where I get into a gentle flow of feeling my desired manifestation being drawn towards me as if I am a magnet to it. I'm not sure what the masculine version of this meditation would be - maybe directing your energy towards it as if you are propelling yourself towards this manifestation?

I really wish there was more information about this. I posted a question a while ago about the male orgasm vs the female orgasm. it seems to me that the male orgasm is more about projecting energy outwards while the female orgasm is drawing energy inwards. When I was into chaos magick I would read a great deal about people (mostly men) having great success with charging sigils at the point of orgasm. I tried it, but it never worked for me. I came to the conclusion that it would be a better method for men since you are directing energy outwards, towards the sigil. I wonder how this method could be adapted for women.

Anyway, it's interesting to think about. One thing that I think is important to note though, is that gender is fluid. We can speak in generalisations, but many men have a lot of feminine energy and women have masculine energy. These days when everyone is so aware of sexism it is easy to come across the wrong way when speaking about gender roles and gender energy (this is not directed at you Inner Beauty, just a general thought). It could also be argued that as collective consciousness rises, we are becoming more androgynous. The LGBT community is more noticeable now than it was, and much more accepted by society. Even in the straight community, it is accepted for women to behave in a more 'masculine' manner, and vice versa. And I seem to remember reading about chanelled information from the future where the chaneller said that in the future we will be much more androgynous.

I've always found gender studies fascinating and I'd love to see more talk about this in the area of metaphysics!

Hi Cassiopeia, Interesting thoughts. I've even had a genetist tell me that in the future there will likely be less differences between men and women!
