So I finally attracted Ask And It Is Given into my life and WHOA!! this book is amazing. I'm really enjoying it.
Havn't done any processes except meditation but I do feel like my life is changing since I've learn more about the LOA.
After reading the book and noticing the direction of my thoughts I noticed that many of my thoughts throughout the day are about my EX and the people I associate with her. Her family and friends. Guys that she associaites with that I believe wanted to take her from me ect...
How do I go about releasing these thoughts? They mostly occur in the morning or when I hear or see things that remind me of her.
I believe releasing this resistance will transform my life and the vibrations that I give off.
Is there a process that will help me release this?
Please help I want to live my life and I believe this area of my life is holding me back.

Hi Chris, I do not agree with Vesuvius about letting it go. It does not work. Rather I believe that you should let it be. My understanding from Abraham's teachings is that you should try to get to a better feeling place about your ex. I feel that many of us are not really understanding what Abraham is teaching. We are focused too much on the material manifestation. Its not so much about the "relationship" with your ex but more about how you are feeling. If you allow yourself to feel good about your ex you will start feeling good period and that is where you want to be so that "Source" energy can flow through your life and you will start to manifest better relationships. My advice to you is to focus on feeling good.

Thanks Drham. I truly understand what you mean. although I appreciate all the different opinions on this site I really enjoy reading the comments that resonate with me. I'm going to apply the focus wheel/blocks to this area of my life. Honestly I can feel the different levels of emotion. Identifying them and consciously moving through this is amazing. THanks again.

Well I really enjoy this book and a lot of people don't know about deliberately offering your thoughts which is what Abraham is teaching. If you start understanding that lifes a mirror and you should deliberately repeat wanted thoughts (outcomes) every minute you will then begin to see the powers work. A lot of people say you can't do this and that but this process has to be done every minute for beginners matter fact as many times as you can remember to start changing your unconscious habits. Once you deliberately offer thoughts by the second and learn to still feel good about the things you don't like in your environment then you will gradually become a vibrational match to your desires and then things will start changing. But you must stick to your thoughts all day in order to really see a change. ALSO Reading 30-40 pages daily should change your old habits.

Only give attention to what you DO want. As you focus more and more on the NOW moment and what you want and where you want to go, you will find less and less time to think about the past. It's a matter of training the mind to focus on the positive. Learn and memorize an affirmation or two and when you find your mind wandering say the affirmation aloud or to yourself...this helps to release the mind chatter and the thinking on things we don't want to think about or the past or negative life events.

EFT-Emotional Freedom Technique is very fast and effective for releasing and eliminating negative emotions, obsessive thoughts, fears, etc... It is accupressure meets phychology. You can watch youtube videos to learn how. Judy Byrnes has a short descriptive video I like to share with people so they can learn it online. There are many good resources online to learn about it. There are many on this site as well, search for tags with EFT.

Really, you just have to decide to let it go.
But many people have trouble doing this, because their negative thoughts have become habitual. Your thinking about these things has become somewhat automatic and unconscious.
If you want a process, you could try using a Swish Pattern. The Swish Pattern will make you more aware of when you are habitually creating these thought patterns, and thereby give you the conscious choice to gently move your mind's focus to more empowering thoughts.

I feel like I have let it go. But I do think you are right it's more of habit because I don't think of anything new and I don't come to any new conclusions. I replay events that were up pleasant and the cycle continues. I'm so fustrated!! I want to be free from this!

It takes time, I have been in a similar situation and all I can say is that time healed that one. I tried meditation, exercise, studying it didn't help. I can guarantee you though it will pass. One thing that could help if I had to do it again was find some other girl to hang out with, but not to show off, just to create a connection with another human.

Hi Chris, I feel the same way you do about "Ask and It Is Given". I am reading it for the first time but I knew a lot about Abraham's teaching from this website. I am extremely impressed with the teachings.
