Hi one and all,

For the last few years,Things have been going along nicley, but every now and then I get really depressed and hating life/myself because I feel "stuck" in the same routine. I would love to move houses, get back into my running/ (lose my tummy!!) I use to be 75-80 kgs and now just over 100 and I hate "feeling" my tummy when sitting down etc,though on the plus side I have been "getting out there" and going for runs/trains though just need to do it a lot more consistently, 3-4 times a week not 4-5 times a month.I know its not going to happen overnight and i dont want to go on a diet as I dont really believe in them (yes they work but when you come off you go straight back to old habits) so I would rather just watch my intake and exercise as I did years ago.

I find little things that never use to bother me now do, and I notice I get road rage easily, and upset with my daughter more than I should, which makes me feel even worse as I hate my self for doing things like that.

Everything just seems big and scary at the moment and I dont know where to begin.

I write myself monthly and weekly goals,and daily goals, (mediate daily, read positive self help book/ visualize what I want each day) and start off for a few days getting them all done, but fall back into **** thinking, and again that makes me feel bad, so is it better to have no "to do list" each day? but then if you dont have a to do list or goals each month, how do u know your going in the right direction??

I just hate who I've became, and 4-5 years ago I ever use to be like this,I use to be happy, carefree, love life, stress free,

I do have a wonderful daughter who I love very much, and a loving new-ish partner ( 8 months) and things are going well, with her, but there that underlining feeling that the world is caving in.

How do I get back to who I was,happy/achieving??

This is probably going to seem like too simplistic an idea to even try. But just because something is simple doesn't mean it's not true :)

If you want your life to feel more Happy, practice feeling Happy

If you want your life to feel more Blah, Blah, Blah, practice feeling Blah, Blah, Blah :)

Yes, it really is that simple.

Just practice the emotion you want to dominate in your life, and the Law of Attraction takes care of the rest.

How do you practice generating emotions?

...Here's one approach that I use. Do it for 10 minutes or so, preferably first thing in the morning. Don't even try to judge the effectiveness of it until you've done at least 30 days of daily practice.

@kakaboo - "simple doesn't mean that its easy though" - True enough - very few of these ideas are as easy to implement as they first appear because (quoting from The Master Key System book) "many men and women have found to their sorrow that it is easier to control a kingdom than to control themselves". Having said that, I've also noticed that people are more likely to succeed at something if they try to do it, than if they don't try at all :)

These "goals" that have been set are deadlines in your life. The deadlines is what is robbing you of the childlike sensation within the world.

Children are so intelligent within themselves that they have desires but not goals. I do not like the word goal nor do I like the word success.

I feel you are angry about something in your life. It is not the road rage. It is not your daughter. Those are off-sets towards something bigger. What is it you are really, really angry about in life?

Anger is good because it shatters pretensions. Anger can be used like a sledgehammer to shatter an ugly statue made of ice. This statue is your resistance, in the cold, how much ice and unnecessary weight has accumulated onto your being?

Shatter that ice statue. Anger is healthy. Children get angry when something (most of the time is someone) disrupts their Being. They are differentiating between something they prefer and do not prefer.

What is this anger telling you? There is something you prefer to choose in life but are not letting yourself.

I am curious to hear how you go.
