I find myself wanting to believe in the Law of Attraction, and I've been practicing a bit, but at times of the day I go back to my previous habit of thinking and when I remember about something I'm wanting to manifest, I'm think I'm heading for disappointment and that I'm a fool for believing.

I've been critical of such things all my life, and I think it's specially hard for me, and lifelong skeptic.

So basically I found myself not wanting to try to manifest something out of fear I will be disappointed and get depressed again. I find my depression was more about lack of spirituality than anything else, as since I started to focus on my spiritual self I began to get out of the hole.

Do you feel fear of disappointment when you were beginning as well?

Grow, flower, grow. Reach out for rays of the sun. But know, flower, know. Sunshine comes up to you, you will reach none. Then what does it matter, if you grow tall. The sun gives its rays of love both, giant and small. So you see, there's no need to reach the highest heights, to taste all of the life's magic and mights

Start out by manifesting something small. Place a little Cosmic order for something you would like, something that doesn't feel like it would take that long to come to you. Place your order with the Universe, then sit back and watch and wait for it to show up. It will be delivered to you, as long as you allow the Universe to bring it to you. Go about your daily life, just kind of lightly knowing in the back of your mind that your order is on its way. I usually see signs that it is coming shortly after I place the order. Be patient, have faith, watch for it, and it WILL come to you. Nothing knocks out doubt like success!

@ursixx, I have used my successes little by little to knock out my doubts and build my faith. Those successes are what I can always go back to when I am experiencing doubts. They help me a lot!

thanks Bedazzled, I will try your approach. What has worked for me so far is the recommendation on the book that when you feel negativity, you are in discordance with your inner self, and what you have to do is to focus in good things. I had never thought it that way.

@Notgonnatellyou, that is true, that when you feel negativity you are in discordance with your inner, or higher self. But when you place an "order" and sit back and wait for it to come, you are allowing. At least, for me, I always find that I feel like, "Okay, well that's taken care of. I can stop worrying about that now" and then I'm resisting--or negative--I wish you all the best!

Change your beliefs to eliminate the fear. There is a few negative statements in this question. I'm a fool,I'm heading for disappointment I find myself wanting to, here is some great tips on belief change
And see the Search Inward Quest box on the right there >>>
Type change beliefs and read a few of those questions and answers .
And I agree with @Bedazzled start with something small... (a cup of coffee is my favorite).

you can plan for the future to be one way but if it does not manifest it wasn't meant to be, you know you don't have to be in conflict with a now event right? it is but your expectation within your own mind that is the cause of your feelings of frustration and for some reason I feel that you associate a future event not occurring within your expectations as being some sort of "powerless" position on your part. power and happiness as well as self esteem are all generated from within ones self. they are not things in need of exterior validation, only you can choose to feel anything about any situation.
