I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have been asking all the wrong people and I still haven't found the right answer and I guess finally I decided to find the answers by asking anyone out there that can explain what happened.

But please don't think I'm crazy it's an experience I went through and till this day I can't get it out of my head. It haunts me all the time cause shortly after I had a near death experience.

I was driving with a friend about 5 years ago during the end of summer. I was 33 years old at the time (not sure if age is relevant but decided to share that fact) around 10:30 pm. I normally look up at the sky a lot I always have since I was young. It was a beautiful night that night, very clear.

Then I noticed like a portal in the sky opened up and all I saw was this huge ONE EYE just emerge right out of the sky. But I kinda freaked out and I quickly turned to my friend and slapped him on his shoulders and I screamed out look and the moment I went to turn my head back to the eye and I pointed to it so my friend can see too, the eye moved back like the portal was closing behind it.

It was weird. My friend saw absolutely nothing that day and called me crazy. I tried to find other reasons right away to why I saw that and how I saw that. But there was no type of reflection that I can see around me that would make me see something like that.

I know what I saw was real but I don't understand why it was only meant for me to see it? It would be greatly appreciated if someone can help me understand what happened that day.

While we are focused physically with a single point of focus, it can be easy to think that this reality is all there is.

It's like having your radio always tuned to one particular broadcasting station and then, after a while, forgetting that there are other ones available because you've developed a habit of always listening to that one.

But the greater truth is there are multitudes of realities interpenetrating and existing simultaneously with this one and, in a similar way to tuning a radio, it only takes a slight shift in internal frequency to be able to perceive them.

While I can't speak to the specifics of what you observed, don't discount it as being an illusory event just because others didn't perceive it with you.

That would be like listening to that radio while wearing your headphones and then having others tell you there is no radio station there because they can't hear it also (because they are not wearing your headphones). For more information, see Does every person in the world affect every single little thing that happens in the world?

I've known many people in my life who have been able to see "things" that others (including me) cannot see, even though they are happening right in front of me.

Darryl Anka, who channels Bashar, often gives a short talk before his channelings about how he saw a spacecraft fly above him in a crowded city in broad daylight and no-one else saw it. The experience, it later turned out, was a deliberately manifested one only for him to perceive and it was effectively a nudge for him to begin investigating these metaphysical subjects.

Your experience might be similar - it has asked you to ask a question on IQ after all :)

@ Stingray

I really like this answer.

"Darryl Anka, who channels Bashar external link (opens in new window), often gives a short talk before his channelings about how he saw a spacecraft fly above him in a crowded city in broad daylight and no-one else saw it"

Would you have a link you could share? Thanks

@Stingray

I did find this ~

http://www.bashar.org/aboutmessagedarryl.html

I was hoping you had more info on the ufo. I know someone who had a similar experience around the same time. Just as Bashar mentioned, the ufo was only a short distance away & apparently for his eyes only.

@ele - "I was hoping you had more info on the ufo" - Sorry but I don't know any more than what Darryl has said about it, which is basically what is written in that link.

I've had similar experiences. Like the time I walked by the medical building near my then-home and idly noticed that it was covered with "graffiti" of laughing, jolly faces. The art was very good. The images were, for lack of a better word, "eldritch." Weird, unearthly, yet fun. I remember thinking they'd have to paint over the building again and I wondered how the artist was able to carry all of that off. I walked by there a lot and hadn't seen any sign of the faces previously.

The next day I walked by there again. The faces were gone and there was no indication that the building had been freshly painted. I concluded I must have been in an altered state when I saw them. And no, I wasn't on anything :)

by the way, thanks for sharing that experience. No, I don't think you are at all crazy, rather blessed...love hearing about this kind of thing. Bring it on :)

If you could describe the eye, I'd appreciate it. Did it look like a normal eye (aside from its unusual size and location)? Colored iris, pupil, eyelashes etc.? Or more like the Eye of Horus? https://www.google.com/search?q=image+eye+of+horus&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiqn5nb-q3LAhVBXGMKHUxbCYEQsAQIHA&biw=1920&bih=868

Yes @Delphine I love all this stuff about the eye of horus ... the third eye entrance into the invisible, mental imagery and the unlimited world of imagination :)

alt textYou are not crazy. I've seen it as a child. I was about 6-7 years old. It was night time. I was in the back seat of my grandfather's car (before seat belt buckle-up became law).I was looking out the back window as we were driving down a long lonely road on the way home. One minute, it was just sky--full moon highlighting the clouds.

And then I blinked.

And there it was. It seemed like the eye was gazing at me through some kind of portal. It was like the colors of the crayon box surrounding the eye. The eye was bluish/purple. I remember yelling at my grandfather, "Granddad, I see an eye! An eye!"

Of course, he did not believe me. Plus, he was driving. He could not turn around to look. He thought I had an overactive imagination.

And the eye was gone....in a blink.

That has haunted me for years. Until now. I do believe that it has to do with me having some kind of spiritual gift that was being acknowledged.

I've been seeing colors when I close my eyes for as long as I can remember...like you they are wild colors of mostly magenta, electric green and highlighter blue. I've always thought it was normal and that it happened to everyone, that it was just my eyes observing the electric impulses of my brain or something. When I was younger and less distracted with daily life BS I would play around with the colors, I would focus my vision solely on one object, then I would split the vision so I could see double (thank you astigmatism) wait until both things became distorted and the form would break down then I would rapidly shut my eyes tight where a sort of negative of the image would be implanted on my retinas, usually colored magenta, as I mentioned above. I could sometimes do it on myself but that took ALOT of focus and it was rare to make it happen.

Also, speaking of seeing eyes in the sky, I recently had a dream where I was walking in a desert at night, but the sky was illuminated by the moon and MILLIONS upon millions of glistening stars, made the evironment appear silvery and surreal...I look up in the sky because I sense another presence and there in the sky, watching me as if protecting me was this pair of great beautiful green eyes, slightly slanted like a cats that belonged to a veiled woman...I could only see her immense eyes that seemed so close yet so far and immense. Thinking about this dream and how real it all was fascinates me and I'm wondering if any individuals can help to perhaps offer an interpretation. I have my own theories but I'm curious what others think
